There's no feeling like landing your first kickflip. It looks so simple, but the effort one goes through to achieve it is anything but. Backfoot problems, front foot problems, board getting away from you; anyone who lands it or who doesn't give up on landing it has my respect to the fullest.

I love how encouraging he is. I'm a tennis coach for kids and I love watching kids succeed and get better so this is really fun to watch. I don't even skate haha

When you've been trying to kick flip for 2 years now

Little tips for people learning Kick Flips. I'm currently teaching my little brother Kick Flips. His problem is he can flick it and land with his back foot every try, but whenever I tell him to flick and land with his front foot, he either flicks it but his front foot just goes down, or he does this weird flicked Ollie thing. So here's what you should do to learn how to land with the front foot: 1) Don't put your front foot so close to the back bolts, put it like this kid or even a little further. (Often you lose control and either do Varial Flips or your foot goes too below the board for you to even get close to bringing it back up, serious rocket flips are impossible to get your front foot above.) 2) Watch your front foot toes slide to the VERY edge of the board and then flick OUT, up or down doesn't matter, as long as it's outwards. (My little brother and this kid in the beginning both flicked before sliding, which results in either a flicked Ollie, or it'll send the board flying away from you. In the beginning, you're going to flick down, but as long as you flick outwards, it'll stop you from wanting to put that foot down.) 3) No matter what happens, keep your front foot in the air, even if the board flies meters away from you grip side down and lands after 10 seconds, don't put that foot down until the board hits the ground first. (I'm teaching my brother this, and even if he flicks extremely slow, I make him keep that front foot up no matter what, he often enough looks retarded just keeping his foot up because the board flipped strangely, but after a while, you'll get the flip down, and your front foot will be up to land it.) After you've learned to land it with the front foot CONSISTENTLY, my little brother can land them with the front foot, but very rarely, it's a matter of practice, time, and commitment before you finally land with both feet. Remember, landing Kick Flips primo or half flipped with both feet is a million times better than landing Tre Double Flips with one foot.

I have recently started to land kickflips. The only tip i can give to landing them is to flick the front foot upward. Practicing the motion over and over again, while watching Braille videos really helped me. Once you get the flick down, you will land them almost every time.

Started skating at 11 for a couple years. Picked it back up in my 20s for another 2 years and just recently go back into it at 41. I wish there were more people like Aaron at the skateparks. He seems like a genuinely nice guy. He's a pro, and even though he didn't get the stardom he desired at first, what he is doing now is worth so much more.

i dont have any idea about skate boarding but i want to learn thanks to this channel very informative and helpful

So I finally did it. This helped me millions with the flick of the board but I feel as though the landing is glazed over a bit with just talking about the back foot. I finally after years can do one. I started out doing a flick. Then went and tried just landing my front foot. And finally I held onto something and it corrected my hips and made me commit to landing it. Finally, I went in grass and it did wonders for giving me confidence. Then I landed it after about 50 more tries. Point is kickflips are hard to learn. And skateboarding in general in my opinion is the hardest sport of them all. Thanks for inspiring me to finally achieve this.

When I kickflip, I land, but I land switch, My body spins so my front foot is at the top, and I can't keep rolling when I am moving. I need help to stop doing this.
