Wow!! Beautiful….amazing!! Really liked the Shannon approach. Accompanying music was amazing, too… I have watched several cockpit landings, this one, in my opinion is the best.

That approach into Knock made me tear up. I've been away in Australia a few years now and haven't been home due to the pandemic. I CAN NOT wait to be on final approach into Knock myself next year sometime.

I definitely found what I was looking for when I flew into Knock - my DNA matches show that some of my Mayo ancestors definitely lived in villages around where the airport is today. :-)

When I look at the tarmac at Shannon I think of the great names that walked that piece of ground , jfk the pope john Paul, Boris yelstsen who failed to get off the plane because he was langersed drunk lol ha , my uncle Tom Benn ,big tom was head of security at Shannon, he's in the video of reeling in the years when borris never got off the plane , circled over Shannon for an hour while his people wondered what to do ,the red carpet was out and they were all waiting, Albert Reynolds bertie ahead hahah classic stuff..thanks again for the upload x

Spectacular footage - thanks for uploading (used to watch planes come in at EICK back in the day. The house just before the 17 threshold with the approach lights in the back garden used to fascinate me. Intriguing to see it from the air!)

Anytime I ever return to Ireland on a flight it’s sunny and clear, then in the final 15 mins of approach the cloud gets thick, it’s grey, usually raining and freezing cold, even in summer.

It is such a pity only airports in the Republic of Ireland were covered. Knock and Farrenfore are so insignificant when compared to Belfast Harbour and Belfast International Aldergrove.

I'd just like to say that I've transitioned Shannon several times coming back from deployments in some really nasty places in Southwest Asia.....and that stop is the first place you could get a beer after months. There was the same gentleman tending the bar at 1:00 A.M. every-time I made that flight and he had the bar loaded with Guinness every-time we came off the plane...all 200 of us....I n ever got his name, but he should get some sort of Irish medal. I will also say that my wife and I toured Ireland a couple years ago and loved it. Particularly Dublin.
