zeer mooie video s opnames 💥💥💥. ik zie verschillende kranen aan het werk , maar geen enkele die een knipschaar heeft . ✂✂✂met al die steunbalken is een knipschaar toch het ideaal voor deze werken ,en het gaat sneller vooruit 👷👷👷bedank voor de mooie opname ,en de groeten uit belgie . julien 😊

One would think so. But it's a large unit, probably only of use to a substantial commercial or industrial application, and maybe such projects aren't interested in installing a unit with as much age on it as this one.

@@constructionwatcher5381 Hard to tell size wise electrically, and it's likely a natural gas unit so it couldnt be trailer mounted and used as a portable power supply....BUT, it may be older and have next to no hours on it. We have ones at work that get run weekly, are almost a decade old and have like 500 hours on them.. A unit like that would fetch a pretty penny.

That hammer belongs in the scrap pile with the rest of the steel. Give the poor guy a shear!

Thanks for the update, John. That hammer or whatever it's called was interesting -- I've never seen it before. It sure looks like it could put a lot of wear and tear on the excavator, but it does give them a long reach. At 1:32:01 we have another stepladder make it's appearance. They've been scarce lately.

Yes, the poor stepladder. (And a fair bit of furniture that was left behind, too.)

Totally the wrong tool for the job. That's for brickwork not a heavy steel frame building. I'm surprised at Berg messing around and wasting time like that.

should've just dynamited the whole thing and swept up the rubble. Much easier.

I passed by this mall a few days ago the sears entrance is completely destroyed

Today they were working on taking down sections of the structure and roof of the old Sears.

Typical American method to demolish a building. It is totally inefficient. In Europe they use machines with long-reach beams, claws and sorting graps. It is not only cheaper to use in de progress to recycle all materials, but also much safer.

When I've seen them in use I use to call them a spear! Lol

I've seen them use pieces of steel from the building like this, and even a custom made tool that's held in the claw, but this replaces the bucket and is a lot stouter. Seems like a good tool - gives a lot of reach and he gets a lot done with it.

The hammer is always a awesome way I call it a spear lol but some of bergs bigger excavators must have been on another job as these ones seem a little smaller than ushual.
