To be completely fair, Mercedes also ordered Lewis to box instead of simply asking, which is what McLaren did. Lewis didn’t want to box at first. McLaren saw what was coming, they should have ordered Lando in.

Even I do that in iRacing races. It's impotant to adjust to your opponents driving style and their way of thinking.

Except that he's only got 16, and with the talk of Russia, I assume this was filmed in 2021, so it would have been 14 at the time

@@georgehelliar that is true, he’s only got 16 years f1 experience & that would have been a bit less at that one specific race/season (even though it seems pretty evident that he is speaking generally). That said Hamilton most certainly has more than 16/14 years of experience in competitive auto racing & all of that prior experience also plays a role in the type of racer one becomes so… And if we are being really pedantic Lando doesn’t say “what has he learned in the past 20 years in F1”, but just more generally “what has he learned in the last 20 years”

If I where him, being that he's also British, I would feel an honor having the opportunity to race head to head with a legend of the sport I love. I think of the sports I practice and it would be like that, an honor.

He thinks that fighting lewis is more about prouving himself like all of them use to do against lewis .You will always want to fight the best to prouve Yourself.

I think at the moment the red bull is so fast that its not worth fighting. Plus with Max there's a higher chance of crashing so often best to let him go

It's because there's an unspoken rule about Max on the grid. He'll crash so not worth it. He doesn't crash now since he has the fastest car, but my god if he's ever in an even or weaker it's gonna be ugly.

Watching them for years enables you to build up knowledge on what actions they will take. Racing and beating your heroes is all part of the sport

@@SHANTUBE786lol he probably thinks something like this every time he races Max aswell. He knows Max is the best rn and Lewis is 7 time champ with heaps of experience which is not little thing. Its not the same like racing Leclerc or Sainz. It has nothing to do Lewis being in his head lol ofcourse hes gonna treat Lewis differently wheel to wheel hes a 7 time wdc.

INTERVIEWER Why are you negatively beating about the bush, about whom this hero is you are talking about? Why are you so disingenuous towards Lewis, when you know Lewis or any other great driver are them because of how magnificent and exceptional the car they are driving is over those in the paddock? Just because Mercedes hasn't come up with a competitive and exceptional car, that doesn't mean Lewis is a has been hero. What do you have against Lewis?
