I'd say that the funniest moment in motorsports was when lando had the engine problem at nurburgring and sat on the chair like a disobedient child.

4:18 This was during the 2017 Bathurst 1000, race was started in the rain and it was raining for most of the race. V8 Supercars aren't completed sealed from water getting into the footwell, so during wet races water pools on the floor and is heated up by the hot floor of the car from the engine, transmission and exhaust. This creates steam and condensation on the windscreen, which up until 2013 for the new regulations was mitigated by the use of a heated windshield (similar to what road cars have on the back with filaments on it to get rid of frost and condensation). However, these windshields were glass, and for the new cars in 2013, they were to be perspex. Without the heated windscreen, cars relied on airflow or not letting any water in at all. As previously said, water just gets in (especially during the longest race of the year, 1000 kilometres). The car shown is car 88 of Triple 8 race engineering, one of the best teams in V8 Supercars for the last 15 or so years. Bathurst is a track with two huge straights making up a fair part of the lap, especially Conrod Straight shown in the video. So, to reduce drag down these straights Triple 8 would've decided to decrease as much airflow into the car as possible to make it slick through the air (very useful for straight line speed and overtaking at this track). But on race day it was pouring with rain, meaning that more steam and condensation was able to form on the inside of the windshield than any other cars, and the car formed more or less a very fast kettle. The solution to the lack of visibility? As you can see, in one of the pit stops they gave co-driver Paul Dumbrell a stick with a rag on it to clear the inside of the windshield while driving down Conrod Straight at about 250km/h.

The background to the Will Power double finger suite: It was an oval where they don't have anything other than dry tires and they had gone yellow due to rain and even with the rain coming down harder than when they went to yellow they decided to go back green with the drivers yelling don't. Car spins on restart takes out a few others including Power severely hurting his championship hopes.

With the v8 utes, the guy was on a lease package and qualified first. He jumped the start because he was worried he might get into battle and damage the car causing him to lose money. So to play it safe he jumped the start to avoid any battles and still went on to win the race. He got a 5 second headstart. And received a 5 second time penalty so it essentially cancelled itself out..... VERY smart move
