I just got one of these a few months ago....cost me $420.00 including shipping. Now I have two of them,one is a mod platform. These have a JCM 800 preamp with another gain stage after the tone section .

Just lucked out and found an AOR Series II 100watt head 8 knob near my house for a solid price, absolutely floored with the tone I can't believe how good my pedals sound with it, its my first tube amp, and holy crap what a sound.

Great video! I have a Laney GH30R-112 combo, its a beast for Stoner Doom and Sabbathy Rock! If you can try it out, for the price its insane value! Specially of its feature where in Channel 2 one can Push the power amp tubes while keeping the overall master volume low (Still have to use an attenuator because its soooo loud!). I use it with a DOD Carcosa Fuzz, an amazing versatile fuzz pedal. I would love to see this amp done on a stoner doom application because there is absolutelly no video on KZfaq :( And I'm no youtuber. Cheers! Love the channel!

Cool amp! I got a Laney AOR30 Series 1, 8 knob head version. I used it on 4 albums/EP releases for my band and it sounds very good. It's also the only one I ever seen and as far as I know it never was in production. My amp tech, who runs a boutique amp company, also thinks it is a prototype as it uses the cassis of the 100w version. Those AORs also get pretty expensive these days, I've seen them go fro aroun 800-1000 bucks, got mine for 300 a few years ago.

Yeah I ended up upgrading to a 50w AOR recently and I paid about $800 for it. Killer doom amp though

I literally just bought a frost giant Architect Of Reality and it feels awesome to know I have these tones in the form of a JFET based pedal. Obviously the amp is slightly better but also more unreliable. Either way, Laney's rule! Such kickass amps!

Can the FG AOR work in front of a slightly overdriven amp?say like a jcm800? Either way, erics been teasing the snowblind version and it was mouth watering.

I've heard good things about that pedal, it looks awesome, I may have to hit them up to compare, but recently I picked up an AOR 50 version II that I'll be doing a video for in the near future.

I just picked up the 50mv series 2, with pull pots, and the master volume does not kill the volume with the pre amp'd at full. Any ideas. Also with bass boost, I have to keep it at 1. Luv iommi

I'm wondering, since it was shipped with the tubes in wrap, could I possibly not put the right fuse in it's spot. Or not seated properly?

Honestly something like the frost giant Architect of Reality pedal that's based on the AOR and either an IR loader or into the fx loop return of a lower wattage amp would do the trick for sure.

@@MetalHeadProductions yeah. I currently have an Orange Crush 35RT that I loaded with a Celestion G10 Vintage, and it's awesome for low volumes because it's SS but I'm considering upgrading to a OR15 with 1x12 cab to see what tubes are all about!

I love people doing hidden gem shit like this. My Crate Blue Voodoo is one of my favorite amps and everyone hates em. Should try em out. The Gold Letter, Blue Tolex ones without the blue by the knobs is the best one

I have the Frost Giant Electronics AOR and the Hizumitas. Put those 2 together and its more brutal than the Hail Satan Deluxe. I plugged the AOR into the Return of my Orange amp.

I have the 50 watt version of this and I use a Catalinbread Naga Viper and a Hizitumitas. It's absolutely fucking brutal, especially with my '97 Gibson V with BKP Warpigs.

Where do I say that? It is lower gain when the p/p knobs arent pulled out for sure, and I did bring up that at 30 watts, it doesn't have a lot of headroom but that's not to do with how much gain it has.

The passive mode on the these fishmans work so well for old school sounds and with fuzz so I like using it for that as well as more modern stuff with Keith's voicing.
