"The LX15 is a compact, simple to use practice amplifier delivering great Laney tone for electric guitar. With 15 watts RMS power and twin 5” speakers, the LX15 delivers huge Laney sound and features a classic ‘master volume’ style preamp allowing gain and master level to be balanced independently. With a 3-band EQ tone stack plus a Drive switch to add distortion, an assortment of great tones can be dialled in from spanky clean to overdrive sounds with real punch. The mini-jack AUX input allows for connection of a playback device such as MP3/iPod/CD for jamming along to songs or backing tracks, plus there is a headphone socket - a great feature for private practice or silent late-night sessions. "

@@venum1773 I think so for its price its good. For metal and hardrock Ill suggest u to have pedal effects for the sound u need

The only thing, I wish it had a cab out jack or even an effects loop, but for $89 I guess I can't complain..., MUCH!

I think Diego could plug his guitar straight into your home stereo and still get a good sound. You do make this amp sound very good compared to some other similar price amps. Do you know how the Laney LX series compares to the LG series though?

I was thinking about getting an LX-65 and was unsure about it..but seeing the 15 watter with the smaller speaker the 65 should get the job done..any thoughts about the LX-65 ? Thanks for this video..Great Job !

I just bought a LX35r. I hope it has enough gain for metal without using an overdrive. I guess I'll find out. Awesome playing man!

@@Da_PublickYeah man! I have high gain (hot) pickups though so I'm not sure if medium or low gain pickups will have enough gain without a separate pedal, but I will try with my other guitar which has med gain pickups and update you.

Pretendo pegar um. Achei bem interessante a ideia de usar um overdrive para empurrar um amp transistorizado, ainda mas sendo um amp pequeno de estudo. Sempre pensei que esses tipos de amps fossem pra usar um distortion no input com ele no clean. Poderia dizer como usou a equalização no TS9? Ótimo review! Vlw!

Valeu meu caro! Eu fiquei impressionado com esse amp. É comum utilizar apenas um distortion. Empurrar com o overdrive é a melhor maneira de aproveitar o canal sujo do amp, sem deixar ele "bufar" , ficando com um som mais macio, mesmo com alto ganho. Com o overdrive vc tbm tem mais versatilidade entre niveis de ganho. Configuração do TS9 - drive 0, gain max e level max No Bleed From Within usei drive no 2, se n me engano.

I’ve got to roll the bass knob to zero to get a usable sound. And this is the only amp I haven’t ignored the “bright” switch with. You must have it engaged. By far the muddiest amp I’ve ever played in my life.

Sorry, I never played a mg15cf. I loved Laney Lx15, really great for studies... and I believe lx15 is cheaper.

To play at home yes, but you will need an overdrive pedal in front of the amp too.

Hello my friend! If the electrical network in your house is good, there will be no noise beyond the normal for a distortion amp. Yes, it's worth it.
