GALERIES LAFAYETTE BERLIN: LANG LANG AND BERLIN, A TRUE LOVE STORY
Lang Lang on the 19th of January 2015 in Berlin. A great event, a world premiere. The launch of his fragrances, a worldwide exclusivity with a prestigious partner: Galeries Lafayette Berlin.
Working closely with the French company "Art in A Bottle", the genius artist has created a magic world, where perfume and music, yin and yang, women and men are connected by a fantastic harmony in a unique moment to share his emotions through two amazing fragrances, one for HER, and another for HIM.
Two amazing olfactive compositions orchestrated in three movements like a piece of music: a fresh and spicy opening, a jasmin heart as a chorus, and a splendid woody finale.
Two masterpieces as personal gifts from the artist, subtly encapsulated in a beautiful bottle, scarved like a piano, in soft curves, like the flow of his music. A total new approach to the fragrance world.

Eh not really true. Like lang lang said, anybody can play the piano. I really believe that if you have the right will and you practice enough you can play a piece that you want, at any age over 3. Playing with passion is different though, and personally I don’t know if one can develop it through practice, it’ll probably just come to them.

Lang Lang is correct. When you play music, you must not lock yourself in a dark room. Open up. Your main focus should be the song, not the keyboard. Improvise the melody to resemble various events in life; like breathing, getting angry, and etc. Also, when playing masterclass, slow down dammit.

Respect for the Kid, Double nervous playing for so many people and Lang Lang criticizing the playing style. To be focussed in making no mistake and playing the right notes makes the pianist seem to be emotionless, but the training showed to be a good deal for the kid. Maybe the first time for the kid to show some emotions while playing on a stage.

The way he explains the importance of a non-metronomic music experience is absolutely killer. Not a convoluted and empty description to describe rythm and accents and feeling, just play the part in two different ways, with an example: if music could be thaught, explained and experienced in our native languages there wouldn't be a need for music. Great teacher, I wish I had this kind of explanations in my musical education

People criticising the kid for 'playing without emotion' or 'playing too quickly' need to shut up and grow a pair of ears. Do you even know what tempo the Fantaisie-Impromptu is supposed to be played at? The playing in the middle section is expressive and the rubato employed is tasteful, not to mention the good voicing of the melody. It's not a perfect interpretation by any means but if it were an adult playing, you lot wouldn't be making these kind of uninformed comments, they just make you (the commenter!) look stupid.
@ggwhynot452
@ggwhynot452 3 жыл бұрын
I think you're a bit misinformed and were trying to vent your anger at the time. The Fantasie Impromptu itself is not supposed to be played at such a fast speed, in fact when chopin composed it, he intended for the focus to be placed on the emotion, not the speed. While I acknowledge that the child is very good for her age, there is no denying the lack of emotion in her playing and failure to express her feelings sufficiently, so perhaps you should be the one doing some self reflection here on your true knowledge on this piece, which must be close to 0 in order to make such an insanely stupid, idiotic and misinformed comment.
@jessewang_xj
@jessewang_xj 3 жыл бұрын
@@ggwhynot452 Hilarious you say that; I've played the piece myself. I have a recording up on my channel, if you'd like to listen. It's not perfect by any means, and I wouldn't say I've played it much better than the kid has here. Have you listened to the tempo of, say, Rubinstein's or Yundi Li's recording of it? The kid isn't perfect of course. He's a developing musician, and the dynamic shaping could be improved. But there is clearly evidence of attention to musical detail - you can hear the accents shifting from the thumb to the pinky in the B section of the fast part, for example.
@ggwhynot452

@@jessewang_xj I have also played the piece myself; the point that I am trying to make is that the kid should not be so sacrilegious, as quoted from TwoSetViolin. Sorry as I came across as offensive. P.S. I performed it in 2016.

Everyone needs to relax here.The child's playing in all honesty however it lacked emotional interpretation and complete articulation,the tempo was too fast .However,for a child she did an excellent job and as she gets older sooner enough she'll be able to balance both aspects of the piece

I understand that most young players strive first for technical perfection, the expression will hopefully follow after that. I kind of like the way Lang Lang approach the piece. Also I heard a few play (not here) the soft part just a fraction slower to coax a few more tear drops from audience 😊
