I was surprised at how pretty and nice Burmese sounded. I could definitely tell that Tetum was a Portuguese based creole or pidgin. I want to learn Thai because Thai culture and history is interesting to me, and the language is also kind of musical and I love the trilled 'R' sound, it sounds so cool. Indonesian sounds nice too, and the first girl speaking Singaporean English had a really pretty accent - sounds like a mix of American and English with a hint of 'Asian'.

Filipino language is the standardized form of the Tagalog language and is the national language of the Philippines. Tagalog people are the majority people from South-Central Luzon in the Manila Bay area. Tagalog language is the language of the Tagalogs.

Jadinya jangan saling benci membenci.

Indonesian- it's sounds nice and i like the way they speaking their own language.(i like the language if they speak it so fast like chinese) this language is one of the easiest along with bahasa melayu. Vietnamese- I like vietnamese cause it's sounds like thai but whenever i look at their writing system(which is latin with many marks) it looks like a chinese pinyin. Filipino- This one is my favorite because it's sound so cool, when it's my first time in the philippines, i hear filipino, spanish, chinese(especially hokkien) and malay(i didn't include english cause it's a foreign language and i speak for asian language only)here in this one, lol i tried to learn this language before(which is i'm fluent now) and the grammar complex is so hard compared to bahasa indonesia, the grammar and syllables is so similar with japanese. the language is tricky too(like one word with many meanings) and it looks easy cause it's latin alphabet but it's not, i think when indonesians and malaysians hear this language, they will get confused lol Thai- thai writing system looks so beautiful too but i don't know when they speak it, i tried to learn this language before but it's so hard to learn for me, it doesn't work for me so i give up lol

Interesting! I like most are Tetum, Burmese and Indonesian. Tetum is perhaps the most heavily influenced of all of them. As a native Brazilian Portuguese speaker, I can say 60-70% of Tetum words in this video are of Portuguese origin, I can easily recognize the Portuguese loanwords and I assume it’s not hard for me grasp the language. I'm surprised that it's not considered as a Portuguese creole. I just learned from Wikipedia that Timor-Leste, like Brazil, is also a member of the Portuguese-speaking community. By the way I'm from Curitiba (Brazil) :)

Olá, sou Timorense (Hello, I'm Timorese). It's not Timorese Portuguese. It's actually Tetum or to be specific Tetun-Dili or Tetun-Prasa. Probably Tetum sounds like Portuguese as it has absorbed tons of Portuguese vocabulary but still it's an Austronesian language, therefore very different from Latin-based languages like Portugeuse and Spanish. Structurally, Tetum is more like Bahasa Indonesia although these two languages might sound very different when spoken.

@tropicaldimitri7374
@tropicaldimitri7374 6 жыл бұрын

You can see the deep divide here between Austronesian and Austroasiatic languages. Mainland Southeast Asian languages like Thai, Cambodian, Vietnamese, etc. are Austroasiatic (Indochinese) and they're all tonal languages like Chinese. Island Southeast Asia (Indonesian, Malaysian, Filipino, Timorese, Bruneian, etc.) on the other hand are Austronesian (Malayo-Polynesian). They aren't tonal and are related to Oceanic languages (Hawaiian, Maori, Chamorro, etc.).

This is the order of what sounds best to worst to my ears. 1.Tetum 2.Malay 3.Indonesian 4.Burmese 5.Tagalog 6.Lao 7.Thai 8.Khmer 9.Vietnamese The last one is Vietnamese.... I just can't.. lol Vietnamese just sounds very funny to my ears.. no offense. Just personal preference. Tetum sounds the best Malay and Indonesian sound fine too. So there is no better or worse in these two. Burmese and Tagalog sound ok. They aren't my favorite but are totally fine to listen to Lao and Thai sound similar to me. So there is also no real order in these two. I thought I would find them funny but then it was totally fine. I guess you just get used to listening to them. Khmer is a bit like the mix of Thai and Vietnamese.

Jhonatan Chendana our native language (malay) is bahasa melayu but bahasa melayu is a formal language tht is only used in formal things like news, newspaper, some songs and in school, but the pronunciation is influenced to johor-riau slang. our 'bahasa gaul' is called as 'bahasa rojak' or bahasa pasar' in malaysia is a mix and very simplified language but is mainly and actually originated from johor-riau slang and is malaysian official speaking language. different states will usually have their own slang/loghat as their native slang. but every states can understand the official speaking language (bahasa rojak or loghat KL/ or bahasa pasar) of malay just like most indonesian can understand bahasa gaul. :) salam dari Malaysia

Malaysians always misunderstood this, "MALAY is 5th most spoken language in the world" Actually MALAY that mentioned in the internet, television or social medias, is not only BAHASA MALAYSIA.. Malay is BAHASA INDONESIA either, but we don't call it MALAY in Indonesia, we call it BAHASA INDONESIA, or Indonesian. BAHASA INDONESIA+ BAHASA MALAYSIA+ Singaporean Malay + Brunei Malay+ Cocos Island Malay, Christmas Island Malay= MALAY.. So, no deny, MALAY is 5th most spoken language in the world.. so Malaysians don't take it wrong again! Sorry for my bad language..
