Hello everyone and welcome to my first attempt to review some clothing articles and not just shoes.
This was my second suit from Lanieri and 3rd commission in total if I count some trousers I got.
The price for this particular suit was around $850 if I remember right and the turnaround time was only 3 weeks. Excellent fabric in S130 wool by Guabello (sorry not available anymore), nice service and great fit.
I should also mention that I paid for this suit with my own money and there is no monetary compensation of any kind. I did this review because I was happy and a returning customer.

There is a bit of jittering/shaking during the worn shots, because I did not have a tripod or stabilizer available. Working on that!

Its a lovely suit. The colour is fantastic, the sizing is always an issue when it comes to made to measure. As mentioned I am aiming for me first MTM in the coming month from Collaro.

Thanks! Well most online MTM companies will offer free remakes if the fit is wrong so I’d be ok with this. I’m very happy how this turned out

Near the beginning of the video, you mentioned Suitsupply “torpedoing its own value” as of late. Would you mind elaborating on that? I'm just really curious. (I haven't really kept up to date with their offerings since I bought a suit from them a few years ago - one which I am quite happy with)

They recently raised their prices even more (3rd price increase in the last 6-8 months) which defeats the whole purpose of value for me

Ah, I see. I do wonder if it's mainly because of supply chain issues and shortages. While very unfortunate, I suppose price hikes are not _quite_ as bad as if they had just lowered the quality of their suits by switching to fused construction, cheap fabrics, etc.

Definitely, but would you get a suit made in China for 1200$ by Suitsupply MTM or for example $1000 made in Italy by Lanieri? It’s a question of value and their quality was never astonishing (it was good) to warrant such high prices

@@kaikaichen They said their price increases were due “Please note, the cost of wool and other delicate fabrics continues to increase, and we expect a further increase in the coming year. Furthermore, the logistics and the manufacturing costs have been increasing; therefore like many other brands, our prices have increased. We've carefully researched the market and gathered from many stores to determine the appropriate price for our garments”

I don’t know which book. It was a limited edition in the Lanieri catalogue. Maybe ask them.

I am thinking about getting a MTM suit from them. Your shoulders look kinda bulky though. Did you order your suit with the roped or natural shoulders?

I took the natural ones. I have been lifting a lot lately though and they are slightly slanted too. I’m very happy with them overall!!

They do! Always good to ask their customer service but definitely in store! They reply very quickly to my emails!

Are Lanieri suits canvased? I assume they would be half. I was going through there website, but i was surprised to see theres no option for a full canvas upgrade. Im also surprised to see someone else that does like suit supply, although my reasoning is different than yours. Personally im not a fan of their advertising style, it just seems so distasteful and sleezy. I would even go as far as to even call them disgusting...

Their guerrilla marketing is disgusting for me, especially that orgy thing during the pandemic height. I also dislike their trousers. Then I also worked there and it was a toxic environment. Lanieri is canvassed yes, though I must admit I need to check if there is a full option. You could probably request it too. Good reminder!

@@MisiuAcademy funny enough i edited my comment to include that right at the same time you replied! I definitely agree though, it made me not want to purchase from that brand. For me, I just wouldn't want to be associated with something like that. Anyways, Loved the vid and personally wouldnt mind seeing more tailored menwear and about the "hidden gem" companies you mentioned. Just gotta say, i found your channel not too long ago and I love your vids. Way too make people that are into menswear are way too pretentious and uptight.

Thank you, I have most of the things reviewed on my blog already. I keep my videos unscripted as it becomes too robotic otherwise. I do promote my website in between but I don’t think it’s too intrusive and it still brings value to people. For example the shark leather shoes that I will showcase this weekend or so.
