I genuinely do not understand how those Chinese brands justify these crazy prices for bikes with budget components. This whole thing doesnt cost them 300 to produce, and its using shimano 15e parts. And I am not even talking just about this particular bike. You can get motorbikes for those prices. Nevertheless as always great review Chris I always appreciate variety on your channel
@fahmiyusoff91544 ай бұрын
Compare them with European bikes and you will understand

Yes bit pricey this one, Samsung battery cells would be the most expensive part, then the motor but the cost of them fabricating so many frames wouldn't be too steep. I imagine they have a good profit margin on these ebikes. I do have a German brand ebike review coming up, a city bike from Lemmo around the same price but better quality with some smart features built in like GPS and lock.

10:35 Ah yis the usual spot to highlight the brake of e-bike review, the area where dog can't help but notice you being nearby. While this kind of stuff is not what I into much but maybe someday in the future I will end up buying one just because or had some money to spent on it.. and more option to choose is definitely a good thing to happen.

Yes my typical sport for the brake test :) IF they dogs are there it always sets them off the high pitch braking noise I guess or the the sound of the motor. Thanks for watching!

Hi there, Can you test the LANKELEISI X-Black Knight perhaps? I'm currently looking at it looks really interesting depending on if that huge advertised range can be trusted or not.

lankeleisi has much better quality than a typical chinese ebike , i have g650 3 years now works still fine, this one thought 2000w seems extreme, but who know in the future might be a must

Hi yes Lankeleisi is a step up above the other Chinese brands I do typically review.
@Techtablets4 ай бұрын
@@christopher480 Haha well better quality than the others I often cover. Better welds, paint finish and using brand cells in their battery packs instead of generic ones.
@Techtablets4 ай бұрын
2000w isn't must really it adds more weight having the second motor in the front of it. The G650 not a bad bike at all, pretty sure I covered that model or the G600.

What would you recommend between fat tire ebikes 20" 24" or 26" I think 26 would be bulky or maybe they should be 3" tires? What's the best for comfortable city riding with rear maybe also front rack for luggage
@TechtabletsАй бұрын
This is good for the city 20” but if you ride a lot of city you would be better off with road tires that are skinner with better rolling resistance. 2.5” wide

nice bike but i do not the idea of the keys dangling off the bottom of the frame.
@Techtablets4 ай бұрын
You need only the one key in it as it acts as an on switch for it. But I left the other key there so that is my fault. I didn't want to loose it.
@Boner19734 ай бұрын
@@Techtablets The key is only to unlock the battery from the frame. There is no key to turn the bike on or off.

Thanks for a good review. After seeing this I am unable to identify why the price is 5-600Euro more than similar bikes. The equipment is all basic so it has nothing really to provide a good reason to own it.
@Techtablets9 күн бұрын
The second motor maybe?
@ritchardwilliams38749 күн бұрын
@@Techtablets Not the second motor - Vakole do a 2 motor (2*750W) again, generic equipment but the Lankeleisi does not appear to be that much better......very difficult to determine though without actually seeing and/or someone doing a 'head-to-head' test.

What's the law concerning this type of bike in Spain ? Do you need a helmet / mirror ? In my country (Netherlands) it can't have 2000 watts that's for sure. They will prolly count it as a speedelec and needs insurance plate, helmet and mirror. Bike looks awesome!
@Techtablets4 ай бұрын
Has to be locked to 25km/h and helmet I think isn't law here. But I'm certain that 2000w will require it to be registered and pass inspection call itv here.

Nice gear!🤩 I like but the price. At this price and fat tires and battery, they should get rid of the chain and shimano gear and opt for belt drive system.
@Techtablets4 ай бұрын
Belt drive is nice but not good for climbs if you have many of them chain with many gears is much better.

I don't know about a folding bike, I'd be too worried I would somehow break it. I do like the dual motors and the brakes on it though.

It's very rigid the join and the latch it didn't worry me. The dual motors are great for acceleration.

@@Techtablets back in the 1980s in Australia I broke my bike where the pole attaches to the handlebars, while riding up a very steep Hill. It was a mountain bike without gears and I was standing up to put enough force into the pedals to get up the hill. I think I still have some unaddressed trauma about bikes breaking from that incident. 😂 I like the fiido Titan bike you reviewed as it looked a lot stronger. Have you done a video explaining the difference between a talk sensor and I speed sensor?
@Techtablets4 ай бұрын
😂 Oh that doesn't sound good I don't blame you! My last accident I came off coming down a rocky trail it was silly and cut my lip a bit and hit my shoulder hard. Then I also had a pedal break off on my bike under full climbing load standing up. That was nasty I almost broke my angle from a stupid folding pedal so this is why I don't like foldable pedals they are too weak and normally change them on review ebikes. As for the difference in speed vs torque. Nope no video on that it wouldn't really get views, but in simple terms the speed sensor needs to detect a crack revolution before it turns on, using rpm to measure speed and it's on 100% or off. Plus it can be slow to detect that to start and to often stop it can take a second or two. Whereas a torque sensor is detecting the force, how much you put in and movement straight away giving you the power you need from the get go. They also cut the power as soon as you stop pedaling. Superior in every way but more expensive Vs basic speed sensors.
@saturnblue4 ай бұрын
@@Techtablets yikes! Your tumble sounds painful. I'm glad you have recovered. I had no idea there was such a thing as folding pedals, but now that I do know they sound like a really dumb idea. I understand the torque versus speed sensor now. the talk sensor does sound like a much better idea. Am I imagining it or was there a bike where you could twist The Handlebar to make the motor go rather than pedal? Was that this bike. I better re-watch the review. I have to say you're brave to go down all those Rocky Hills! Keep up the good work, the videos are enjoyable to watch and informative. Maybe you could combine a bike review with a phone review to really test the ois on a camera! 🤣
@Techtablets4 ай бұрын
Yes foldable pedals was never a good idea to begin with for the saves in space but you compromise the strength of them. Many of the ebikes I do review have the throttle but it's not legal here so I have to be careful. I ride mountain bikes around here so this is why I do go down some of the rocky trails to give the ma proper test but that can be scary at times if the frame was to break or suspension. Well I did actually do just that an iPhone + Bike review of sorts testing the iPhone as an action camera. Thanks for watching my ebike videos they get fewer views but good to have people like you that enjoy them. Makes it worth my time and they are in fact my favorite videos to make being out in the fresh air Vs in my studio.

a moped motorcycle?.......they are 2 very different things, a moped and a motorcycle........this is not a motorcycle in any way shape or form.......definitely an electric moped though. No signals though so not quite a moped either but close enough.......and speaking of no signals......its incredibly dumb and cheap on the part of the manufacturer to not include turn signals on a bike that goes that fast. As a result i would never buy one cuz it makes me wonder what else they cheaped out on......also those brakes are nowhere near good enough if you unlock the motor. So basically they cheaped out on parts wherever they thought they could including with our safety. They are too cheap to even include a usb port for phone charging plus i didn't hear you mention an app.....so no theft protection either........all that adds up to a bike that i would never buy. I have 3 bikes and 1 i built....which honestly is the best way to go except if you are buying a bike from lyric....they are all top notch.

An ebike that wants to almost be an electric motorcycle (By the looks of it) There is no app support for it or anti theift apart from locking in the battery. But I have a city ebike coming up in the channel from a German brand with GPS, locking mech and application. It's also a very different style to this one.
