The DAF lists lantana as being lethally poisonous to children yet the State Government lists it as a low risk plant recently because they lost control of it and had no solutions for its eradication because they were using Councils as their primary source of control and we all can see exactly how that has worked out for our Country.
Ad to that the Losses that are coming in Property Valuations Plummeting because of Council completely giving up on the Worst infested suburbs, this is the Catastrophe that I uncovered and why our waterways and High Country are choked with Massive infestations, State Forests are full of it and National parks are even worse, We need to get the Attention of the State and Federal Governments very soon as the property collapse as this spreads through even more suburbs as the unchecked giving up on this seriously toxic weed expands. How can something toxic become low risk just because the Governments are clueless of how to eradicate it ?

Ghostdevill, Just like the Tractor situation its time to say no more, Our Country is in a terrible state right now and must be taken back, Its going to be a massive job with a huge amount of machinery in it but we are up for it that is for sure, We are quite literally taking our Country back 1 acre at a time. Thanks SO much for taking the time as it really shows who is really behind you, the subject is not sexy like my John Deere Tractor but its as serious as a heart attack. Yours Truly Garry

Garry In North Queensland if we dont plant grass after removal a big percentage comes back. As far as the neighbours go its hard when they are councils or national parks or people who dont think its a problem. We are further away from getting the problem fixed than ever. I guess if a few of us keep screaming about it and as more people notice that the useful area of their land is are getting smaller and smaller and they have to make some hard decisions like do some work which on a medium to large area is expensive, weather you use your own machinery or get someone in They might start to scream as well and the problem will be taken more seriously. Farming Life Australia, Well I have that Charge well in hand, what you guys in the Far north Forgotten Qld did not hear about is this little Gem, its all over the Streets down here in financially important suburbs and as those people realize just how this is going to affect their property Values then the Councils down here are going to be pulled up really short, and that Property Value Losses will bring the Consequence of the poorly thought out system they have put in Place then it will have very serious consequences for all of those in power right now who very shortly will be looking for new employment, cause the people about to lose money will take it very hard and be looking for people to punish. The Bush and Farmers who are the same people, have never really had a voice at the big table because pollies like having that wedge in there between city and Country but Lantana and other toxic weeds are going to very quickly show why we need to rethink the costs of Councils, and State Governments that have no accountability when it comes to Very costly mistakes that our Families continue to pay the price for, So either they change Tact very quickly and make this the Big deal it is or they will be the first in a long line of Dinosaurs and go extinct, which is a good thing because we need new blood I think. Its all about how its removed as to the levels of success and I remove it all the time with 100 % no come back and other areas where we are pushed more for time and volume that you must chose between the two its very limited come back and mopped up in the second pass 3 to 6 months later. But I know exactly what your saying about your neck of the woods where the reinfection is something that again must be done case by case but really your only speaking of the Facts you know and they should be listened to by those that make policy choices. I will have you every day of the week over their Scientists that have gotten us to here. Matey the truth is the work force they disabled by telling them it was hopeless is the work force that is the key to actually achieving what they tell us is achievable, simply they have no clue as to People power and determination its as simple as that but on the lighter side of hope is that they will get a lesson in that very shortly and it will be Graphic as City and Bush does unite. Yours Truly Garry

I think its rate of return varies over different districts and I only know what is required in the area we live in but reinfestation in our area is a big issue having said that a lot of people have eradicated it up here with it growing right up to their boundaries they have to keep pulling out the odd bit but I suspect that if the neighbours controlled theirs it would disappear. As far as land values I wouldn't even consider a property with lantana when we bought here we were green and didn't realise the cost and commitment to control it.John

Farming Life Australia, I totally hear you John. but with the way they have changed the rules even having it in your areas as you now know means sooner or later you will have it unless your fighting a battle to keep it at bay. its early days now but each day see more and more information come through so From what I have already uncovered I can see they are in a world of hurt that is only going to get more serious as time goes on. What the Future looks like I can't say but they Certainly have opened a can of worms that is interesting to see just how far the fall out will go, But just from where it is now I think it could be something that they really have made massive mistakes with ever taking this line. I tell you what I am enjoying the Drone flying over the areas of infestation

I Love your Last Video, we have already changed allot of things Matey in the last 12 Months and this 12 months will be a Rolling tidal wave that will not be ignored or go away. I do not accept for a second that You and I cannot change Australia, In fact we must, it just means that we must educate people until people are educating each other and then the system is self perpetuating. The real issue with Lantana is the Expense is in actually leaving it, and that is what we must focus on in education, Councils and Governments openly admit they know this and they use it as an excuse to do nothing, But we both know the real Cost in lantana is the Growth and expansion, You cannot pretend or Hide from it, if you buy 300 acres with 100 Acres of Lantana then you have a $300 to $500 K problem depending on the terrain, then understand that 1 acre of lantana is Growing at a Rate of 400 acres next year or if it has good water than its 3,600 acres from an acre of Lantana. That is the reality so is it low risk, well only if your a Government or Council where the Recipients of your illegal operations is down stream and don't know your the one infesting them. Because the seeds Float, then you and I know what that means if you leave it growing on steep country, water ways or Sides of the roads. Its time we focused on the Run off and illegal infestations on Your lands, Look at you for instance, You have major to massive infestations just off your Fencelines and your downslope of them, Why the F should you be paying to keep your land clear of that Crap that Should not be there in the first place. They are Scum bags that are allowing this to happen. Now that Australia Zoo admit that Lantana is such a massive problem and the Government admits that they know this then Lets smash them on that, so Bloody Farmers are not the ones killing the Koala's are they, its the Government and Councils. Hey Moreton Bay Regional Council has a Wild dogs program locally that 11 Killed and 8 by one dog and the other 3 by the other 2 dogs, now you can bet that there was massive lantana involved in our local area, But you and I know this is one operation and that was also only the ones they found. These Bums need to be exposed for the environmental vandals they really are. Cheers My Friend

I have let the website and things slide as to many people just wanted my knowledge for free. One of the biggest issues you face requires that knowledge to save as much money as possible given that even thin and small infestations cost a lot of money to deal with. The first things are what equipment and experience you have in weeds. so my email is garryherbert4@gmail.com.au I need the Address and description of the infestations locations and density, if you look on Google earth yourself when you send it then tell me whether the images are reasonably up to date because a lot of times they aren't and the time of year can also make the images not really relevant to current conditions. From there we can discuss costs I charge for my time and consultation. Cheers Garry

What about just smashing it all with a big mulcher? Smash the lantana down then keep ontop of it with a slasher.

Bobinski Brooks, Gidday Matey good to hear from real friends that have time for the Dirty stuff. I took some of the Government staff at their word when they said I should become a Lobbyist and activist after the miracles I pulled off with the Tractor so this is the Next challenge and I am enjoying not only the work but we need to make a stand sometimes. We also need to ask questions about why lies are told to us, that place our children's Lives and Prosperity in danger for the future as well the Families long term financial security is now in very serious danger across Australia so here I am stepping up once again to get it done but this time, I am much wiser and know where all the buttons are and pressure points. Thanks so much for taking the time and being their for US Aussies across the pond. Yours Truly Garry
