Two extra differences that were not mentioned: - The Aputure has an extra thing (forgot the name, lol) to put gels in - The Aputure reflector inside has a silver and golden side, so you can change the warmth slightly. Great review! I love your enthusiasm and energy! 😊

Great comparison Sam! I just got the Laofas 35.4” softbox paired with the Godox SL60W. Amazing combo if you ask me. The softbox itself is so easy to setup and I really think it’s a great value for the money!

LOVE THE LAOFAS Softboxes! Be sure to get the D-Series, and not the U-Series. More expensive, but WAY easier to set up.

Jesus Christ, this softbox is impressive. Great review, brother. Returning my Neewer for the Laofas after this because I cba with the setup time (or the alternative of it taking up 25% of the space in my room if I keep it continuously set up lol).

If you are ordering this you have to make sure you get the D90B version. The A version is an umbrella style one.

LOAFAS really great, I got two of them and one aperture, quality is the same. Would def same the money and go with LOAFAS everytime!

Good Video! Totally agree. I went back and forth between purchasing the Light Dome Mini ii and the Laofas and wound up getting the Laofas. Very happy with the quality of light it produces. Your video confirms what I thought. You get the gel holder with the mini ii but from the reviews I've read it's a pain to use any way and who uses gels in a softbox?

I need to invest in ones with the quick collapse features. The one Neewer one i use is a metal mount but the rods are removable which is a pain to deal with. As always, good informational video my friend!

The collapsible domes are so much better, if you have a bag provided with you can just leave the diffuser and everything on it, collapse it and you're done.

I’ve said the same thing about buying the budget options on a lot of things. My acquaintance buys only aputure but I always buy Godox because I saved like $300 on my vl300 instead of the 300d and it performs better in my opinion besides that it doesn’t have effects. But I don’t use effects anyway. Same guy also bought a $400 glidecam and I bought a $200 flycam redking and it has in my opinion more stable shots and can support more weight and goes low mode. Sometimes budget is better. Not always but that’s why I always do extensive research before buying.

Yes breathe.... :) One of the things no one talks about in these reviews is the footprint. For those of us using lights on tiny spaces, the footprint is really important.

Ah yes I’m sorry. The full dimensions can be found on the website but I’ll remember that for my next website. This is a lot smaller than the larger lightdome softbox. 🎥😂

I have the Godox AD-S60S which is probably more or less identical to the Laofas 60cm and Aputure Lightdome Mini II, what I've learned it size is really critical! - I got a cheap 95cm softbox (non parabolic so it doesn't take up too much space) and the results are dramatically better than a 60cm softbox.

@@SamHolland Yes, good point, depends on what you are after. I use the 60cm softbox for rim and 95cm softbox for key to get the result I am after. The 60cm does not look soft enough to my eye. Both softboxes used with the Godox ML60 light.
