American Makes Chinese People Feel at Home in Fluent Chinese (Why I love learning languages)

4 жыл бұрынI’ve been out of China for over 4 months now, but I recently found some footage of me visiting a super highly-recommended Chinese restaurant in the Washington DC area. It really felt like I was back home in Beijing, and I had a great time chatting with everyone there!
It was a strong reminder of why I love learning languages so much. You just make people so happy when you speak to someone in their own language, and makes me happy to have that experience with them!
Check out East Dumpling House (老地方) in Rockville, MD if you get a chance, and go support them while we’re all socially distancing!
Note: The video was filmed in late February which is why no one’s wearing masks. I haven’t been going out to film or anything for over 3.5 months now!

这个餐厅真的搞得太不错了， 我之前在东京，去中国人开的KTV都是装修很老旧的风格，玩的特别难受。就恍惚之间感觉我来到了一家中国还是70年代的时候开的KTV，还好看了一眼我朋友们的奇怪原宿风衣服我才确信那是2018年。
