I like that they hugged to fuse rather than something sensual; it's like they were forgiving each other and their fusion was made out of loving themselves and each other

I absolutely love that Peridot's fusion dance looks a lot like Garnet's fusion dance. Since Garnet was the first one to teach Peridot how to fuse. Just a little observation of mine.

That actually seems like a real scene, Lapis would have nightmares of fusing all the time

Episode idea: Peridot and Lapis attempt to fuse, but Lapis has flashbacks to Malachite, and the fusion becomes unstable, causing them to unfuse. Lapis becomes unwilling to try again, despite Peridot's belief that they can work through Lapis's flashbacks. Of course, Garnet and Steven try to help Lapis too, but she acts kind of like she did pre-Reunited, closed off and kind of scared. Eventually, Peridot picks up on the fear, and while Lapis initially denies it, because she's supposedly "felt worse" but eventually gives in and admits she's scared of the fusion becoming unstable, she's scared of losing control, of losing her mind in the fusion, and she knows it's possible because it's happened before, with Malachite, and that's why she keeps flashing back to Malachite, despite the fact that Malachite is gone forever after the events of _Alone at Sea_ and because of those events she's no longer scared of herself, of her powers. However, because of those events, because she's proud of who she is, she's scared of losing all that. But with support from Steven, Garnet, and (especially) Peridot, she decides to give it another shot. At first, it's fine, but then they enter that weird fusion realm we've seen with Malachite, Stevonnie, and Garnet (kinda?) in which they hallucinate Malachite, and Lapis is terrified. However, Peridot is there to help her. They work through it, remembered that Malachite is gone forever, and Lapis doesn't need to worry about losing control so long as a fusion's components have a healthy relationship. Malachite was unhealthy, Malachite was toxic, but Lapis and Peridot have a perfectly healthy relationship, so their fusion is stable. The two unfuse, and Steven gives them both a big hug, with Garnet saying that she's proud of Peridot. I mean they probably wouldn't make it an episode but it'd be neat

This is so well done. Everything from the tear Lapis shed to the dance Peridot did being similar to Garnet's in style. Plus the fused form is exactly what I thought those two would look like.

The fact that it didn't just end with "they fused and were happy" and instead had what I think Lapis's actual reaction would be to fusing is amazing and so we'll thought out. I love fan fusions with lapis in them. It's just, I can't see her ever fusing again because of what happened to her.

This makes the most sense. Last time she fused was torture. It's similar to why Pearl doesn't shapeshift. Last time she shapeshifted was to "shatter" Pink as Rose. The trauma associated with it is too much.

Holy cow, the animation is so smooth! I also like how you put a bit with Jasper, I can actually see this scene happening in a real episode. I think that would've been a great episode about Lapis and Peridot, where in the end Lapis is finally able to fuse with the others without feeling guilty or feel like she's controlling them

here comes a thought is playing in my head now. the fact that there is strong and they haven't even fuse truly shows how strong that love is like greg and rose they fused but not in the way gems or we think of fusing I LOVE LAPIDOT STUFF it maybe two years too late but this really good and I love that gem name Aventurine the gem that looks to me if you were to combine a peridot and a lapis in real life.

It's honestly sad how the FANDOM is better at trying to make two characters fuse. Ever since SU:Future ended, I've been really disappointed at how it turned out. Lapis and Peridot NEVER spoke once. AT ALL. And it pissed me off.
