"Bagdad Cafe" was my boyfriend's favorite movie and this was "our song". I played this haunting song at his memorial service. Always brings a tear to my eye now. Lara's version is incredible.

I needed more than 60 years to find out that there is a vocalist Lara Fabian, just by being bored and clicking around on YT. It was "Je suis malade" where I simply looked up some part in the middle. It took 10 seconds to goose bumps. Being a great fan of Barbra Streisand that I prefer over Celine Dijon et al, I do not want rearrange my own scale from 1 to 10. Lara's performances are beyond. She does not serve to be rated by a trivial number, although I could give her an eleven or so. To me it is more. I prefer to express my personal experience by the term "revelation".

I know I've said it before but this venue - Olympia in Pais - is most definitely my favorite given its intimate feel (the Warner Theatre in Washington DC is another great venue for Lara in my experience).
