in my opinion this ( "vocalise" ) is an outstanding way to see how Lara, or for any singer for that matter, feels at one with music and the emotional connection in music. I have absolutely no musical talent ( i wear earplugs in the shower as protection just in case i break into song ) so i rely on the artist to bring me into the piece and no-one does that like Lara Fabian. With this particular piece i am amazed how the Video in my mind my mind changes with each viewing. Lara Fabian is the most amazingly talented singer/performer i have ever seen

Jeff, I don't know if you know, but some years ago Lara had an accident while rehearsing on safe just before one of her her concert. Her sound engineer almost got exploded her eardrums, through the device that singers use to listen to themselves, her left eardrum almost was exploded. She had to cancel her tour and kept in treatment for several months (we do not know if either she had an operation on the eardrum or not), but we do know that she spent many months with a speech therapist and also with her classical singing teacher in order to help her. She said in an interview in 2013 that she spent more than 2 years almost unable to hear herself properly while singing, whenever she tried to sing she would hear an echo inside her ear cavity. That is why he had to adapt several words from her songs, changing the pronunciation of some vowels, as for example the word BELIEVE, in the song Adagio, she started to sing ir with the sound beLAve and no longer with the sound of "IE" in the beLIEve part. After this accident, it took a few years for her to feel comfy on stage again. She also commented that she currently cannot hear herself 100% while singing . We can imagine how sad this situation is for her, since she has been studying bel Canto for more than 10 continuous years at a conservatory in Belgium. Owwwn, I thought you'd be reacting to her performing live at Kremlin in 2010. It's like a dream. This performance that you just choose isn't even close to her best, I'd give a 7 out of 10. Anyone ever heard a vocal reactor say that Celine Dion sounds "like Lara Fabian"? Possibly because she is a "lesser mortal". Possibly because she just doesn't. Ergo, Lara doesn't sound "like Celine". All the stuff about Celine, trumpets and nasality is like making a silk codpiece out of a basic ballsack. The nasality comes just from her singing the sound "na". Try yourself to sing "nanananana" and it will sound nasal. Other points about breath control and options were very good.
