I think it was a rebound in a way, like he was upset Lara jean was backing off and things were getting tense, so he was going with Gen. he looked really sad in the hot Tub if u watch the scene. But that’s my opinion

Lara jean was pushing peter away I would be hurt too but peter did pick Lara jean and people need to understand his perspective lots of people are so quick to blame peter because you wanna believe Lara jean was in the right but peter did pick LJ over gen and he never questioned their relationship when they were actually dating that was Lara jean she flirted with John and didn’t even tell him she had a bf and made peter feel horrible when in reality she was the one flirting with someone who wasn’t her boyfriend peter was there for gen because she was going through what he went through you guys can’t blame Lara jeans insecurities on peter. (I feel bad that Lara jean is insecure but so many people blame peter for it ) and I feel like it was wrong of her to say he picks gen every time but he never did in the first movie he wanted to sit with Lara jean and not gen he wanted to spend time with her and Lara jean pushed him away he waited for gen at the hot tub and instead ended up with Lara jean he picked her everytime

Everyone’s mad at Peter, but no one says anything about LJ hanging out with a John Ambrose, who she likes, daily for like a month, and not telling Peter right away and stuff. The perspective paints it like Peter’s a horrible cheater, which he might not be, it’s unclear. I personally don’t think he cheated. Honestly if they’d just told each other the truth, most of this could’ve been avoided. They just have to be honest.

I already read the books but it was kinda cool so see how they took this adaptation and made it their own in a way. Yes Peter was waiting for Gen in the hot tub but that was the point of them fake dating in the first place, to make Gen jealous and so PK could get back together with her. PK and LJ both in my opinion started to get feeling before the ski trip and when LJ started to push back I think Gen was kinda like a rebound. Gen had caused so many problems and was always in LJs head. LJ was definitely always insecure in a way when it came to dates and making out with PK because Gen was with him before. When it came out that PK was actually waiting for Gen, was the one who posted the video, and he was spending a lot of time with her to help her get through something(she didn’t know about her parents divorce), LJ wasn’t over what happened in the past and broke up with him. She had a pretty good reason to feel bad and break up with him because I’m sure it sucks thinking that if she hadn’t had come down to see him in the hot tub they wouldn’t have ended up together. LJ wasn’t able to tell John about PK because of timing but she was going to. But LJ and PK both had good intentions and it was kinda just a big misunderstanding and COMMUNICATION IS KEY!!!

I honestly don’t think peter picks her (gen) every time if anything he picked her when it truly mattered peter was waiting for gen BUT he ended up with Lara Jean and stayed with her I think it was kinda crazy for her to say that especially while she was flirting with John if she had second thoughts she should have told peter from the beginning instead of making him look like a jealous bf (btw I’m glad they ended up together in the end i just question stuff I love Lara Jean and peter but I just saw some stuff that kinda got me a lil mad because not a lot of people understand how bad peter must have felt and how guilty he must have felt after Lara Jean found out about the whole situation with gen when all along LJ was flirting with John and questioning her relationship with peter).

I feel like in the books Peter picks Gen and sides with her way more and the whole john and LJ story plays out a bit differently. The movie makes it almost look like LJ is overracting about peter and Gen and that she was in the wrong with John which I didn´t love.

first one was definitely expressed both of them feelings so well...second movie is way more Realistic....they could be apart at any moment ...Even they both hiding something from eachother...bt it happened in real life too...idk abt others ...i felt that...there were so many ups, downs, misunderstanding, lack of communications, jealousy, insecurities, hurt, loneliness, insult, respect, distance, feelings, laugh, cry, hug ,kisses...etc etc. Its ok thts love .

Depends on how you think about it tbf, Lara Jean was avoiding him at the beginning of the skii trip and Peter was feeling quite hurt, so he went back to Gen. She was the rebound, really, and Lara Jean was more the person he wanted but he couldn't have.

I swear some of y’all are so one sided when it comes to this movie you guys love Lara jean sm that you guys aren’t even holding her accountable for stuff she’s done way worse than peter not telling her he was waiting for gen in the hot tub or that he was talking to gen when they were dating (talking to gen about family issues) lara jean flirted with someone who wasn’t her bf and basically led John on for a little bit cuz he was catching feelings only to find out she was with peter and she wasn’t even the one to tell him he figured it out. Then she ended things with Peter breaking his heart then basically choose to be with John and she broke his heart and decided she wanted peter back.

Hiroha -chan I understand what you mean, but I don't think she did it on purpose. In the moment, she wanted to kiss John Ambrose, and she liked him, is was only until after they kissed she realized. I don't like how she just abandoned John though.. she should have talked to him instead of just running off. But what Stormy was saying about sometimes having to kiss the wrong man was true imo. But I understand what you're saying, and it definitely hurt John Ambrose's feelings, I just wouldn't call it selfish.

Aw I'm glad you liked it! 💛 Here's one of the fonts: www.dafont.com/youngblood.font The other one is a stock apple font called VIP (i used it all lowercase to give it the clean look) but if you have windows, a thin version of Arial or something similar would give the same effect i'm guessing!

In the first film Peter always says “I love you” to Lara-Jean, but she says “I like you” to Peter So finally at the 2nd film, she able to say “I love you” to Peter, when I saw this, I just said “finally, you said!!!! After all this time Lara” even though she must kiss another person first to realise exactly how she really feels.. well I guess it goes same with Peter, he must wait for another person at the bathup to realise he loves Lara-Jean
