Larenz is still so handsome 😍 Dead Presidents was a classic!! The music, the fashion and the emphasis on the history of how Black veterans were treated when they returned back home from Vietnam.

I loved The Inkwell and Why Fools Fall In Love, too. But my favorite film of Larenz thus far is Dead Presidents. Such a great film with a stellar soundtrack. Also, I’m so glad he playing Terry Silver on Power didn’t work out because I love Larenz as Rashad Tate. I’m amped he’s now on Power Book II: Ghost.

I always get teary eyed at the end of Dead Presidents when he’s on the bus on his way to the penitentiary! That Isaac Hayes playing and seeing him on the bus! I always said he was just trying to do the right thing and needed someone to give him a chance! Great movie man!

"The Inkwell" was the movie that made me include Larenz into my favorite actors list. He had just played O-Dog in Menace as a hardened street kid and to turn turn right around and play Drew Tate, an awkward, recluse, sensitive teenager AND be believable in BOTH roles is nothing short of amazing. His range is incredible. Larenz will always be That Guy....HANDS DOWN!!💯💯💯

I met Larenz 😊 in LA and I was really impressed only because Larenz was like, the homie I grew up with lol. Cool dude. *Dead Presidents* top 5 movie for me. It captured my experience and so many other young black men who wrestled with the rules of this system. He “fought for his country” he tried to make a “honest living.” Ended up breaking the rules with no happy ending.

Dead Presidents was a movie I watched as a child because my Papa liked it. When I watched it as an adult I realized how sad it was and how those soldiers got no support when they came home
