Tall, black smoke filled the sky in West Dallas on Saturday as crews responded to a fire at a recycling facility. Dallas Fire-Rescue units were sent just before 9:15 a.m. after a 911 was received for a structure fire in the 1700 block of North Westmoreland Road, near Interstate 30.
As of 11 a.m., personnel at the scene believed the fire had been “knocked down significantly,” but were still working to get it completely extinguished, Dallas Fire-Rescue spokesman Jason Evans said. No injuries were reported.
