I have had that exact printer for a couple years or more and the quality of the photos is so awesome! The ability to print 12 x 12 paper or card stock, is very handy also! I have Epson for sublimation as well as an Epson for regular printing and scanning in our home office! I had HP for many years and loved that brand also! It is hard to choose, but the Canon you are showing is truly my favorite!

I have the Canon TS9521C and love the edge to edge 12x12 printing. So glad I invested in this, esp when Cricut came out with the larger print then cut feature!

@@lindakrefft5621 yes, I have. I’m not sure about ink usage as I haven’t printed enough full coverage 12x12 and havent changed the ink yet. I’ve used it mostly for Cricut print and cut projects. Also, instead of doing edge to edge full coverage printing on a shape I know I’m going to cut out, I will just print a pattern inside the shape like an A4 card panel, circle or heart. I’ve even filled the print only inside the shape of an envelope I was making as a coordinate to a card to cut out. This way I don’t waste ink printing what I don’t need.

I'm on the fence between the Epson EcoTank ET-8550 and this Canon Pixma TS9521C. I make jewelry, but also do digital cards and want to eventually get into making stickers. I like the the Canon has all the pre-set craft papers and my hubby might even like it for graph paper, but the Epson appears to be much brighter and the ink bottles supposedly last 2 years. The Epson 8550 prints that large 13x19, so I could do the 8500 model since I don't anticipate that large of a size. If I eventually get a Cricut though, I might change my mind. So many decisions. lol

I have the Epson et-8550. I t was a very expensive gift. I use it for sublimation. I like it so much that I’m saving for a second one to use as a regular printer and print large photos

I like the Canon Pixma but it is maximum of 12 inches wide. It prints on cardstock really well.

Angie, I love your videos! They are so helpful. I did hear your desire for being able to print 12x12. I just starting with things and will print some photos on card stock and photo paper. My question is will I use the wide format for cricut project and be glad I went bigger or do you use the 8500 more? It looks like it's on sale for only $50 more to go wide format. I have a feeling I might regret going smaller for a $50 difference. I would appreciate your thoughts on this please. I do hope to do stationery as well at some point and I know I'll need a laser down the road too.

I want an Epson 8550 I like the Six ink colors it has. I have an et 8500 it is great has six colors but can’t print larger than 8.5x14. Please make a video on slicing images to print bigger for people who can’t get larger printers at the moment

I got an 11x 17 inkjet for 20 bucks on marketplace, but I need something that can do large format with white ink in addition to black and color on transparency. the price jump for those kind of those needs seems to be astronomical

Where do you load the 11x17 paper? The canon videos only show loading a4 or letter paper. I need a printer to be able to print 40 to 50 pages of 11x17 architectural drawings of blue prints is this printer good for that?

On the Canon I have, you open up the back tray and load it there. However, it would not handle a stack that large.

Thank you so very much! I'm in the process of buying a wide format inkjet printer to print out my art. I am looking for a wide format inkjet printer that is under $1,200 for now and then save up to get the $3,000 to $6,000 wide format inkjet printer. I print my art on fabric so I am looking for one that can print on a thicker paper than usual. My art is on fabric and I'd like the prints to follow suit. One of my concerns is how clear, clean and detailed the printer will print my pieces. You mention the photo quality printing....that's EXACTLY what I'm looking for, but in either an HP or Epson, not a Canon. With the information I just gave you what would you use?

Ugh I have used my HP to print on fabric but it is not a clean photo quality result. You might want to research printers that are made specifically for that.

So between the ho workforce 7440 wide format and Epson8550 wide format what is your choice I know you said your an hp girl but what about ink in the hp? how long does it last since it's not ink filled like the epson eco tank? What's the biggest pros and cons I can't seem to find any true in depth videos between the two!

I like HP as you can hook it up and they will automatically send you ink when you get low.

I would recommend a DTV printer and setup for safety reasons.

You can use it for print then cut. Any printer can be used for print then cut. I am just giving some good options for those shopping for a large format printer.

@@AngieHolden ty, sorry just learning and didn't know what the printer's I had have could do before I buy something else, because if it could already do what they do, then I wouldn't have to buy one, because I just thought of that as office stuff, not like stickers and stuff, so ty, but just learned all the BN 20A can do and it does alot, just waiting for the delivery, but ty so much for answering, have a great day 😀 😊 😄

A Canon printer is not for sublimation.

The Canon Pixma TS9521C how many prints can you get out of it before the ink runs out? The ink is almost half the price of the printer.

I seriously have zero idea as I haven't ran out yet. HA! Most printers the ink is almost as much as the printer so I am not surprised.

A laser printer is typically used for foiling. So no these are inkjet printers.

Epson printers can be converted for sublimation but other brands do not work for conversion.

Angela, I have this printer, and the quality of my images are not vibrant at all. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.. I've seen other people with this printer and their stickers are bright.. Any help at all is needed.

I had to REALLY play with the print settings. I do think that is a drawback as some experimentation is required!

If I have a Roland's BNA 20 printer, would I still need one of these printers, or will the roland be able to do the same stuff if not more stuff?

@@reneenelson7089 - I'm late to the party but... Yes, you can print with your Roland. You may need to print to PDF first before printing it to your BN20A using a PDF reader. I don't think DesignSpace will print directly to the BN20A reliably. Not sure why you would want to print on the Roland and cut on the Cricut since the BN20A has a built in cutter and cutting is built into the Roland software but, yes, it will print stuff you can cut on the Cricut.

I've had worse problems with Epson printers over the years and my Canon has lasted over 7 years until it was moved and "dropped". I don't care for the HP company so I avoid their products.
