How to not get jumpscared tips and tricks: idk if you live alone or whatever but i used to play tarkov and always jumped. I just asked all the people who live with me to sneak up and scare me from behind whenever possible. I now never get scared, not even at the instagram reels where some sort of creature comes out of nowhere. I have the nerves of a golem.

Tip: Repair benches can now refill jackhammers for free, just like workbenches (since 1 or 2 updates ago). One of the furnace bases you raided, you used a jackhammer to raid to the TC and had to run outside to refill it. But they had a repair bench right inside. Good luck in the future. Jump scare training: I got over this playing ghosts of tabor in VR. Any time you go into a high risk situation just take some slow deep breaths. Gets you into the mindset that you’re going to get shot at reminding you not to jump because you’re readying yourself for it whilst also calming you and steadying the nerves.

Jumpiness is usually the result of being under a lot of stress. Playing Rust, not trusting anyone plays a role. Poor diet and lack of sleep can also lead to stress. But the single greatest cause would be if you ever play with a player named Blazed. He's the no.1 cause of most young men's jumpiness.

Spoon go to an indoor shooting range with hearing protection, rent a pistol or w.e and try and get used to the loud noise of gun fire. It helps out a lot man

jump scare training... I used to jump scare really bad. I started playing paintball and one of the tactics was to make sure you stay out unless the paintball is going to hit you and only move in if it will hit you. So we practiced not moving while getting shot at. I don't jumpscare anymore. I trained it out of myself. The trick is just finding something that typically makes you jump and force yourself to face it over and over again. Eventually you wont be bothered by it anymore.

I was abused as a child and after endless cigarettes being put out on my bare flesh, I became numb to pain, scares and life.

spoonkid i am a licensed psychologist, what you have to do to get over ur fear of jump scares is avoiding it as much as possible, at all costs avoid it. it is the only way. it works because evetually when u dont experience it u will build up ur defenses against it and u will become stronger and then u won’t be scared. the period you have to avoid it is probably about half a year. forgive me for my bad spelling english is my third language

45:32 gave me such a great idea for when you're raiding and are in that situation. You should place 2-3 bags around the raid target before you start raiding. Raid, get loot out, got to a well hidden bush, suicide, respawn in one of the nearby bags, and repeat. Let's be honest, very unlikely someone spots the bodies and you get more loot out before he can respawn and seal.

I'd say the one thing I really am scared of is losing the ones I love, but I'd say that's healthy. I got over them just by finding reasons to not be scared, I guess. I rationalized everything and grew a sort of mentality. "If I think I will fail, I will fail. So, I must assume I will win so long as I try my hardest." And that has carried me through everything fearlessly. I've fought rabid dogs, and even used to be an MMA fighter, so I am in a position that most others can't experience in their lifetimes. I've fought people bigger than me and won. That's the kind of confidence you have to earn... Unfortunately. My biggest fear was the ocean, but now I kind of want to live in the ocean, so it's safe to say I'm not afraid of it anymore. Always played with the idea of buying a decommissioned oil platform and living on it.

For a large furnace base just a wall is enough, you dont need the half wall too. The slope of the roof covers it.

There’s the Kano method to train yourself for surprises. Hire a guy to ambush you at random points in the day and eventually you’ll get calm or paranoid enough to stay calm when it happens. Inspector kluso did this in pink panther

I watched a lot of creepy pasta videos when I was younger and would get nightmares but kept watching them because they were interesting and now I never scare I’m so strong and tough

i got over my "jumpscare" problem by quite literally scaring the shit out of my self all the time until it didnt phase me anymore, i reccomend the show supernatural its super long and def has every type of scare there is imo

I suffer from claustrophobia when i was young (high school) i slept in the closet for a year. It helped, eventually. Still cannot deal with dense crowds of people (Mardi gras/concerts), or 5-7 people in small rooms i am unfamiliar with and/or that feel restraining (one entry or narrow). Used to be much worse! Panic attacks used to be common, now i am able to walk away long before it triggers me.
