6 ай бұрынIn recent years, Pistons of Two Strokes Main Engines are cooled by Lubricating oil. Fresh water was used for piston cooling in old days. There are so many disadvantages in cooling piston with fresh water.
In MAN-B&W and UEC Engines, piston cooling oil is supplied through telescopic pipes. Unlikes these engines, SULZER Engines use swinging arm with attached pump for piston cooling.
This video is based on 6UEC42LSH-Eco engine of Japan Engine Corporation. This electronically controlled engine also uses swinging arm for piston cooling. Unlikes previous generations, this engine renovates many designs and parts of engine.

Swinging arm is for poston cooling or crosshead cooling? In man b&w engine telescopic pipe is used to cool crosshead right?

Crosshead is only required for Lubrication. Purpose for both telescopic pipe and swinging arm is piston cooling. MAN - B&W and most UEC (Mitsubishi) Engines use telescopic pipe. Sulzer and this UEC (6UEC42LSH-Eco-D3) Engines use swinging arm.
