Largest Asian Buffet in New York... Visiting Flushing, Queens

The food in New York City gets better and better. This time, I'm visiting the Chinatown area in New York and thanks to all the suggestion from everyone to visit the Chinatown in Flushing, Queens. While the Chinatown in Manhattan was quite the sight, the places in Flushing, Queens were outstanding.
I got a chance to visit a buffet in the Flushing, Queens area... Great price, great seafood, and more importantly great people... Oh yes, and the unlimited Peking Duck was quite impressive as well.

New York is made up of many neighborhoods. Flushing is primarily a Korean neighborhood. That is why they serve the wonderful Korean food.

Hi Tim, I'm not sure if you remember me but I've been supporting you and your channel since the beginning. I always thought that you had the perfect voice and personality to make amazing videos. A lot has happened since I last commented on your videos. The main changes for me are that my Mum, who was my best friend passed away a year ago on Boxing Day 2020 so it's been a heartbreaking time for my family this year. My health is continually changing for the worst but I'm fighting to survive everyday especially because I'm the sole carer for my Dad. We are a good team together just like we were with Mum. I hope that you and your loved ones had an awesome Christmas especially since covid changed the world how we have adapted to the new normal. Take care and I hope that you are happy because you really are a special person to many as you are with me. Xx

@rodolfoquiroz7819 Thank you for your kindness. Unfortunately, 13 months after Mum died, I found my Dad after he unexpectedly but peacefully passed away. It's been a few tough years in many ways. We always thought I'd be the first to pass because 14 years ago, my lifelong specialists gave me two years at the most to live, which was realistic considering my extensive health history. I'm positive and a fighter so I tend to look at the positives and there must be a reason why God hasn't called me home yet. I wish you and your loved ones all the best. God bless

Hi Tim, you found a gem this time 👍...I almost died when you mentioned me 2x in your video 🤗...I was so honored you remembered what I like to ear...now this buffet is worth $50...they had so many other different selections then your normal chinese buffets...was shocked to see a lot of items I would normally eat in a regular chinese restaurant...the dim sum ( chicken feet, etc ), the raw clams, peking duck, snails ( my fav before the clams w/ black bean sauce 🤣), sashimi looked appetizing as well, I loved the steak and scallops...I would of gotten 😤 too if he threw away the fat away 🤣🤣🤣...love my steak w/ some fat on it ( rib eye ) is my fav cut...thanks again for mentioning me in your video...I'm still in shock 😲...worth every penny 👍...glad you enjoyed yourself...be safe happy healthy and always blessed...safe travels going home 😘🤗💙

Hi Jade, it was quite interesting because from the outside, it looks like an industrial area with not too many people. But once you go inside, it was quite a nice large buffet and lots of food. LoL, when I first saw the clams and black bean sauce, I immediately thought of you. And they were pretty good too! Just too many dishes to sample. And very Merry Christmas to you

Thank you Tim. My husband and I went to the buffet at lunchtime..No Peking duck or quail but most everything else was present and wonderful. The abalone was never refilled so I didn't get to try it

I was born and raised in flushing and still living there, I'm glad you had a great experience, flushing was never as popular as it is today we have so many tourist that come and visit flushing because we have alot of great Asian cuisine! Also fun fact : Flushing is known as "Little Chinatown" and the buffet he went to is located in College pt in Flushing I went there before its big and alot of selections to choose from

@@lupechacon-florez7520 yeah I noticed he did not mention the address thats why I said it was in College pt., if you know where Flushing Main St is its the last stop on the 7 train and there you can find alot of great selections on Asian foods, like Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese, malaysian etc.

In the Northeast from New York to Florida, is an excellent Asian Buffet chain known as the; " Flaming Grill Buffet". For around $20.00, you get Lobster, Crabs, Crayfish, Shrimp, Fish, Clams, Mussel, Oysters, Steaks, Salads, Desert. The Flaming Grill Buffet is overall the best most diverse Asain Buffet around at $20.00 per person.

@@TimLeeLetsGo we used to go to a buffet in Bayside called Mizumi which converted from one like The Buffet to hot pots though they still have the sushi section. The other large buffet was in Westbury called Minado but it closed down early this year. Don’t get me wrong there are an abundance of buffets in Long Island but not many are the authentic Asian ones if you know what I mean 😀

You scored 100% on this Buffet for me! I've been trying to locate this place for 6 months! Now, I can put it on my February 2022 NYC foodie tour! I was very impressed with the selection, cleanliness, service & price/ quality ratio! At about $50 for dinner, it far outweighs the Nordic buffet in RI @$125 or the Crab House Buffet in Manhattan @$105. The only items missing at The-Buffet in Flushing were lobsters & a wide selection of American-style desserts, SO WHAT🤔 Again, great stop you really persevered😁⭐👍

$50.00 is a good deal,but when you compare Nordic Buffet in RI,it's like day and night...it was over 25 years ago that i was at Nordic buffet and is still the best seafood buffet i have been to...i think the price was $40.00 for a two hour limit with free milk shakes..LOL...go figure..

Wow, I think this is Mikey Chen's old NYC stomping ground. This place looks so smart and clean and the price us super reasonable. Hi Tim 👋you came through with another great buffet 😍for a second I forgot that you live in Vancouver 😆 when I saw that sea bass I was like this buffet is legit ..that seafood selection 😍 all you can eat dim sum with boba tea . I would have been happy with just the first section but wow they threw in the Peking 🦆 🤤 I don't know if we can be friend after this when you skipped over the grilled 🦑 for the 🧅 ring 😆 I feel like a third of the buffet is dessert 🤤 I hope they don't have a time limit on this buffet 🤞 will definitely visit the next time I'm in NY.

For $50 that is definitely a great deal for a buffet, I have to admit that I personally would be into the crab, scallops and prawns/shrimp as seafoods are a weakness of mine. The station also looked beautifully clean which is an absolute must when dealing with fresh foods, I would certainly dine there! Thanks for putting this up and hopefully soon I'll be able to get to the USA and experience the place.

That area is outside of Flushing and is actually called College Point. Its in a strange hotel complex in a warehouse/borderline residential area. Definitely not ideal for tourists as it is waaaay out of the way. Aimed more at folk with cars. You may have noticed that you were probably the only one walking in the streets of that area.

Thank you Wilson! It actually felt a bit strange outside because there was so many industrial buildings and auto repair shops. Even once inside the building, one could not be sure they were in the right place 😉. But once inside, it's a different story. Really nice and lively there!

What they call white tuna is not real tuna. It's a type of fish called escolar. It's an extremely oil fish that if you consume too much of will make you sick. They used to called it that in Ontario as well, but have since been removed from calling tuna because of people complaining of mislabelling fish. It's banned in Japan from consumption.

Awesome review Tim! When in Queens NYC, I will have to check this Asian Buffet out! Seeing this place, reminds me of some years back right on the NYC and Nassau county border line, on Queens Boulevard, was the best Asain Buffet, that I ever experienced. It was called;" The Harvest Buffet". I recall meeting a gentleman, who told me that the Harvest Buffet , was the equivalent of what he experienced in Thailand, it was the best amongst the best! This establishment; " The Buffet", looks like an amazing buffet to experience. I will have to check it out!

@Tim Lee Your most welcome Tim, please keep up the good work! Sadly it seems that the Harvest Buffet on Queens Boulevard has Permintley Closed. As I did a Google search and it comes as, Permintley Closed. I believe that it was a solo Restaurant not part if a chain. I do recall that the Harvest Buffet also had whole cooked Turkey in addition to the better quality Sushi and Seafood.

Looks awesome Tim. I've had frog legs twice in Ottawa/Hull at two different Chinese restaurants. Both were served on skewers. I thought it was good. Tasted like chicken. I wonder if breading ruined it for you.

Yeah, I think it was just the seasoning or lack thereof. The coating was really nice and tasty but the meat was quite bland so I think it's probably just a matter of seasoning...

Tim, as always a Great place. How could you pass on the chicken feet. I make one hella of great Chicken feet soup. Not to mention (bragg) my oxtail stew. All in all excellent. Best

Oh... Nothing like a great oxtail stew... It used to be our family favorite that it was very affordable. Now it's more expensive than prime rib 😉

Love those soft serve ice cream machines, especially if they have banana pudding. Large bowl with pudding on the bottom and topped with vanilla ice cream...YUM!

Thank you Tim your videos are informative and have such a nice tone to them with your respect and courtesy to those serving you. Since no one else commented FYI in case you may want to order it in a sushi bar in the future white tuna is also known as ono in Hawaii and Wahoo in California and Mexico. I got a chuckle of the tile work behind you in much of the video. The pattern is made to repeat instead of only being two rows of tile tall. The Buffet managers probably got a good deal on the bid and either they didn't notice or figured what the heck it was a good deal so we will just leave it. I'd have them tear it out and start over.
