LARGEST Farms In Ukraine REVEALED!
Welcome back to Down On The Farm, today on the channel we are going to check out the Largest Farms in Ukraine. Ukraine is currently undergoing an historic transformation that will be felt throughout the world. The globally significant progress I am referring to is agricultural land reform. For centuries, Ukraine has been known as “the breadbasket of Europe.” This title is entirely accurate, given that Ukraine is home to around a quarter of the world’s super-fertile “chernozem” or “black soil.”
However, Ukrainians have not been able to fully capitalize on these agricultural riches during the thirty years since the country gained independence. Instead, independent Ukraine became one of only six nations globally without an agricultural land market, joining the likes of North Korea and Venezuela. Thankfully, the situation is now being transformed and Ukraine is gearing up to take its rightful place as an agricultural superpower. The untapped potential of Ukraine’s agricultural sector is staggering. The country boasts around 42 million hectares of agricultural land. At present, 32 million hectares are cultivated annually, representing an area larger than Italy. Given the size and fertility of the country’s farmland, together with the vast scope for increased harvests and greater efficiency through ongoing modernization, it is no exaggeration to state that Ukraine can feed the world. In this video, let’s find out the largest farms in Ukraine.

Credibility was lost when he stated 1000 acres equals 1 hectare, it's actually 2.47 acres = 1 hectare.

A hectare is10,000 square meters, an acre is roughly 4000 sq. meters, so a hectare is about 2.5 acres.

This is an amazing story about farming in Ukraine. I wonder how many oligarchs have it all tied up. Of all the east block country’s that emerged it’s economy never got off the ground because of corruption. In 2012, 21 years later it was ranked as the 3rd most corrupt country in the world. However, it’s improved as it now stands at 17. Compared to Poland there economy is close to 3 times bigger and another neighbour Slovakia with only 5.5 million people has an economy that 2.5 times bigger than Ukraine.

A most interesting video sadly spoiled by too many errors which should have been checked prior to publication. Having had an Agri Merchanting business in the Ukraine I can certainly vouch for the sheer size of the country which has so much potential. Trust that this will return to normal post war and see production increase to western European levels. GFR

They were destroyed by russians and they are one of first reason of russian operation. Look farmland Ukraine map and then look Where russian was bombing. same places -> then look at biggest corpos from Germany like Volkswagen, Porsche T mobile etc. -30% and hundred of thousands workers abourd

Is the Ukraine farming or mning the fertility out of the soil? Do they test every year to insure the fertility is constant? I heard nothing about fertility conservation, just "efficient production". Why do they feed cows grain when the highest quality meat/dairy is produced by all-grass fed? Combined with foul to follow in the pasture, controlled grazing restores the pasture.

Thats not farming that industry if your in the thousand or millions of acres of Land its industry not farming a typical farm has atleast 2000 at the max in land 2 to 3 combines not up to around 14 or more if you own more equipment than a typical farm its idustrial same kinda work but over kill just my opinion

Right, a normal family of farmers can never get loans enough for setting up ( buying,/Renting land, seed, chemicals,...)such large scale Farms . I think that is one of the reasons politicians from around the globe (russia,us, eu,...) are so interested in the country, not to help the ordinary ukraine farmer, but to get a monopoly on food, then they can out- compete us small farmers and get even more powerfull.
