#Banana#Republic#USA. Saudi Arabia is already investing in solar. The trump administration has been also secretly been selling them nuclear technologies. They are saying for energy but that’s a lie. Solar is already bypassing nuclear power in the US in affordability and even more so around the world

Is [N0T] 42 actually that’s where you are wrong. Solar has just broken past coal in affordability because the technology keeps getting better and cheaper. It’s just a matter of time with oil. Around a decade or less depending upon the price. The tricky part about the price of oil is the cost of extraction and refinement. Depending upon know reserves below ground of a particular country it’s still profitable around $55-60 to bring to market in our current economic framework. Any cheaper and profitability goes down. Any more expensive then renewables become more competitive which then that really drives the innovation progress machine further and faster just because of increased production of renewable technologies. Practice makes perfect. It’s ironic that the greed of big Oil and the price high of $150 a barrel a few years ago really sparked renewables to where they are today. The current % of renewables is at 16% in the US with increases of about 1% or more yearly. With the adaptation of electric vehicles which account for around 60% of all oil consumption it’s only a few more years of BIG OIL still in charge. Then both the American and Russian empires will faultier and rapidly decline. Russia because of lack of economic diversity and the US because of too much economic dependence upon the petrodollar systems. All oil currently is traded in US dollars for sale. That’s what is really propping up the US economy and their real incentive for all the oil based wars.

Shadowdance, Coal, particularly in coal rich countries, is the cheapest form of generation type. Solar is nowhere near. You cannot just look at what it costs to install. There are all the other factors to be taken into account. Leaving aside the cost of integrating it into the grid, there is the very short lifespan (compared to conventional plant) of the panels and inverters. It also, in the U.K. and other countries of similat latitudes, provides no power when it is most needed. Solar is best suited to charging batteries for off grid installations.

I am curious, bearing in mind that sound travels hundreds, if not thousands of miles in aqueous media (like the ocean). What kind of studies have been done on the effect of the sound and vibration that these machines will transmit into the water have been done? How will that affect marine life? Whales, in particular, use echolocation to both navigate, and mate, but countless marine species would, in common sense, likely have their environments disturbed by the introduction of such noise, and vibration. Is this all just being conveniently ignored, or overlooked by the global warming doomsday crowd?

None of you even watched the video. They repeated one segment. they literally clipped in the same 20 second piece about a turbine twice, and nobody realized it. This video was annoying, they weren't paying attention when they wrote it, and they were condescending to people who werent smoking windfarm doobies. Terrible video

Why not build a fleet of islands of hydro turbines that have a cable back to the mainland.. Hook up a few engines that are powered from generated electricity and chase the storms??? Instead of dotting them around the coastline and pretending they are making a difference??? In fact why not build a windfarm/hydro turbine island out at sea where its not gonna bother anyone and chase the storms??? You could even cover the outside of the wind/hydro turbines with solar panels... There ya go... Loads of energy... Even when there are no storms and no wind its generating power...

Will these wind projects be ahead of the learning curve unlike many past efforts? Acceptable noise limits were found to be wrong causing serious (and even deadly) problems for homes neighboring American wind farms. Low frequency pulsations from each blade carried much further due to cylindrical dispersion being half that expected, and it penetrated building structures far more than initial estimates. Physiological damage to people and animals included fatalities that were first noticed by florists from cities in wind powered areas. They noticed a correlation between funeral customers and wind turbine locations that sparked deeper interest. This led to evidence of trauma, sickness, and even homes abandoned by hapless stricken owners. Offshore wind farms may be remote enough to avoid this problem.

There is a lot of false information about wind energy, especially with regard to the environment. The negative impact on the habitat of thousands of species is enormous and often destructive with no possibility of recovery. The simple change in the shape of the winds harms birds and insects, often essential for local farming.
