Fun fact : Snails have been known to sleep up to three years if the weather isn't moist enough to meet their needs. Honeybees flap their wings 230 times every second. At birth, a panda cub is smaller than a mouse and weighs only four ounces. Horses and cows can sleep standing up, but they can only dream when lying down.

A potential problem with the spread of this snail as an invasive species directly from the wild is that it is often a carrier of the parasitic rat lungworm, which causes angiostrongyliasis, which in turn is the most common cause of the eosinophilic meningitis or eosinophilic meningoencephalitis, which is the public health issue that makes the snails' spread to North America problematic. If the snail continues to spread, it could potentially be a problem for the health of people through parts of North America from Cuba to the United States. 🐌 💀 Source Wikipedia.
