It was released in July 1997 as the fourth single from the Tritt album "The Restless Kind." The song reached #18 on the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart. The song was also included on "The Best of Lari White" compilation.

Never would I have thought losing a relationship would break me as it did. Those that have experienced this the pain is indescribable no words can explain the bottomless of pain & depression. It wrecked me, crippled me, I lost myself in the darkness it took me to a place of nothing-less. The trip back took time, I had to relearn life and how to live.

No kidding, routinely snubbed by stupid Country Radio and Dropped by 3 different Record Labels. Capitol Records in 1988, RCA after the ludicrous Hullabaloo over the video to "Wild At Heart" in 1996. That was devasting to her career because she was on pace to become one of the biggest Stars of the day before this happened. RCA should have stood behind her. they didn't. Then I assume she was let go by Lyric Street even though the first artist they signed since she never made another album for them after "Stepping Stone" in 1998.Her album "Wishes" was certified Gold in 1994, but every single one of her Album's should have been at least certified Platinum if not Multi-Platinum. They just never got that type of promotion for it to happen. So many awesome songs that never saw a release. including her Duet with Toby Keith "Only God Could Stop Me Loving You". She was also hindered by a serve lack of music videos. Why wouldn't you want to showcase such a beautiful woman allot more?

I fell in love with her long before that. Saw her on Nashville Now in 1993 sing 3 songs in a dazzling black outfit with ruffles. She just was so phenomenal on that show. Went out bought the album the next day. She was to beautiful for words. I wish that somebody had that footage. Should have won at least one Female Vocalist of the year award as nobody had a better or more powerful voice.

Trying to do the same for Holly Dunn. Both artists had so many amazing songs that were never released as singles. I really want someone to react to Lari's duet with Toby Keith "Only God Could Stop Me Loving You" One of my favorite tracks from "Wishes" was "If I'm Not Already Crazy". I'm convinced that it RCA had released that, or the title song as the fourth single off an already Gold selling CD, it would have resulted in sales well past Platinum. Such a phenomenal song and vocals.

I met her at The Bluebird Cafe. She was so lovely and gracious. She signed my CD jackets and told me that her parents thought she was going to a boy when she was born and was supposed to be named after her father, Larry (my name too) so they just changed it to Lari. RIP. Lari

As far as I'm concerned Lari was the most beautiful woman in Country Music in the 90's.Yeah, I was a big fan of Shania Twain I still am, but it was Lari who stole my heart the first time I saw her on Nashville Now in 1993. I wish I could find that episode. In my opinion with the right management and record label support she could have been about as big as anybody. As a live performer she was very dynamic. Lari could really stir and audience live. Radio never gave her much of a push at all. It was frustrating hearing her songs stuck in a light rotation especially when the song didn't have a video Two of her songs that just missed the Top 10 "Ready Willing And Able" and "Stepping Stone" had no Music videos. Given a video to push them both those songs probably could have cracked the Top 10 easy, if not the Top 5. Practically nobody had a better voice. As she went on to be a voice coach and taught many other artists how to sing, that should be indisputable. I am desperate for a new generation to discover this lady. She had so many awesome songs that were never released as singles. Including another duet with Toby Keith called "Only God Could Stop Me Loving You". That might have been a song of the year. I'd like to see a collection an anthology of her complete Nashville recordings released.

It's criminal that it didn't at least reach the top 10. It deserved to be a Number 1 song no question. Even though she had a small part at the end of Castaway, her character was such a bright spot in the movie. She always makes me smile every time I watch it. Lari White literally looked like an old time Hollywood Movie Star. Like a Linda Darnell, Jeanne Craine or an Ella Raines There weren't very many women in Country Music ever that looked that good. Plus she was so Multi-talented. Great song writer, a classically trained pianist. I mean she could do so many things. A Tremendous live performer. Never any better voice as far as I'm concerned. Ticked me off the way that Radio and her record labels treated her.

Anyone remember the movie Castaway with Tom Hanks? At the end he wanted to deliver that package he held on to that had a winged circle on it and so did the farm when he pulled in! No one home so he left it on porch, at the 4 corners he got out and was deciding where to go and a old pickup truck stopped with cute woman and asked him if he needed help!! Said no just deciding where to go. That was Lari that played the part! She was a beautiful human being in country music, loved her singing and Love stories like she was talking to you! We can all relate to that and glad Travis Tritt got to do that video with her in his hay day! Loved the late 80's and into 90's where country was then!

She wasn’t just the last scene, she was the first scene. She was putting together a package, the package that Hanks character never opened. And you never get to know what was in that package. I really miss Lori White. Beautiful voice, beautiful person.

I was a country fan back in the '70s - '80s but got away from it & never really went back. 1st time I saw Lari was in the movie Castaway. I thought WOW! Didn't realise she was a singer till much later. Do like this song tho, RIP lil' lady!
