Kimbo was so impressive. With his environment and all that was thrown against him he kept coming and kept fighting. To see him praying and coming to grips w his trauma and world view as he did this with the weight of expectations on his shoulders is so inspirational. It’s like watching a man becoming at peace with his journey here on earth nearing its end. Like he was preparing him self for the afterlife knowing his day was coming soon. All of this and remaining humble and jolly throughout this arduous process. God bless him and may his soul find the peace and rest it needs. Rip Kimbo Slice

I hate how people used to talk down on Kimbo slice. He wanted to get into the fight game. He never once ever talked like he would be the best guy in MMA fighting I mean just watch him on the show. He’s very humble. I don’t know why he didn’t pursue a boxing career earlier.but Kimbo slice was very humble and very respectful about the MMA World. Dude was an absolute unit! Kimbo was a real thug street brawler and feared no man, yet the coolest chilled guy away from those Miami backyards.

kimbo had a crazy upper body build and strength. when they got him they had him train squats and improve his knee flexibility but it was too late. his knees were shot. seeing those leg kicks after knowing about his knee pain was brutal. rip kimbo slice king of the street fights.

Hindsight, this was a legit against all odds type scenario for Slice. Honestly has Fight Night Champion storyline type qualities where every fight was like meant to teach a player a specific skill. And on top of that, as friendly as everyone might've ended up being with Slice, they were no doubt all against him initially, including Dana White and Rampage because at the time mma guys just had that strong opinion that street fighters and boxers dont even belong in the cage. Top tier story line even with the major setbacks, dudes a legend

Holy shit, I thought I was coming to watch a cool MMA video, I didn't know Kimbo was gonna give me a whole new perspective on life...

Kimbo was a cool dude. Knew he was the dog on the streets, but when he came here he knew he was amongst an entire group of men just like him, in all of their own ways. Very humble and good teammate

This was one of the crazier TuF seasons. - Rampage showing his true colors and literally being a bully, nicknaming some dude 'titties' and _constantly_ antagonizing him. - Kimbo Slice, being the legend that he is on the internet, trying to become a legit elite fighter. - Brendan Schaub making his debut while saying 'fuck him, fuck that guy' to (what I presume) Kimbo. - Rampage fangirling around Kimbo. - Rashad and Rampage nonstop back and forths that came so close to _multiple fights_ breaking out. - Only one fighter from Rampage's team made it through the preliminary rounds. Quarter finals were 3 out of 4 fights where Rashad's fighters fought each other. - Most surprising of all was that Kimbo actually looked and sounded like a super nice, humble and chill dude, regardless of his rough look and image on the internet at that time. This season of TuF made me dislike Rampage Jackson. Dude is a through and through bully with 0 self awareness that deflects any form of criticism.

My favorite quote from that season; Rampage says “I like the way you work hard Kimbo”

I’ve never seen someone try to throw a fight harder than Houston Alexander at the end of this video. He literally went to the mat on his own 6 times and Kimbo still couldn’t finish it. RIP street king, but this is much an awesome representation of a street fighter vs an athlete

He seemed like a really cool cat. Just think about how tough this guy is in regular society. In the UFC a much different story. I liked him, pretty cool story and his death was sad.

This was the best season of ultimate fighter imo, rampage was one of my favorites funny as hell and Kimbo would have dominated ufc if only he got into it earlier in life, his knees were his weakness they just couldn't take it then one of his first fights dude just circled the ring kicking his knees

i really like the synergie between Kimbo and his team. I think learnt a whole lot in a short time. Awesome show.

Kimbo earned it for sure because he wasn't a mixed martial artist, he was a basic brawler but he was a sponge sucking up every bit of knowledge transfer and after grinding and learning he ultimately was a mixed martial artist

When I first watched Kimbo's backyard fights, I saw him as a baddie, I thought he was maybe a sadist who loved beating up people. But like Mike Tyson, he is actually way more intelligent and compassionate than I first thought. It was awesome to see him in UFC ripping it up, before he was taken away from us. I guess God needed a bodyguard. Kimbo, you left your mark on this world Sir, Rest in peace my friend.

Watching real footage of Kimbo for the first time and man he was something! He seemed like a real pleasure to be around and if you listen to him there’s a lot to learn from Kimbo! Going to do more research on him I’m so fascinated 😊 I pray that his soul has found peace in his final resting place.
