Larry Bird breaks the Boston Celtics record of most points against the New Jersey Nets with 40 points, connecting on 15 field goals and going 7 of 8 from the free throw line. Bird would also throw in 7 boards and 7 assists to the stat sheet, showing off his all around capabilities as well as his unparalleled scoring ability.
Bird was unbelievable for this '86 Celtics juggernaut, averaging 25.8 points, 9.8 rebounds, and 6.8 assists and 2.0 steals.

Greatest player of all time Larry bird all you have to do is watch him for a little while he did it with every team against every opponent the best opponents including Michael Jordan Kareem Abdul-Jabbar call Malone Charles Barkley Dominique Wilkins he dominated everybody played against and they won championshipt

Nets gave them a run for it. The Celtics needed almost every Bird point.

Pick a year “Bird has X number straight free throws”. ALWAYS went a month without missing. Crazy thing is he’d shoot them with a second left and not even hesitate
