I've recently suffered from a pretty serious SVT attack that had to be suppressed with multiple doses of adenosine, which I've never had to have done before. My heart rate was around 160-233bpm for nearly two hours. Since that attack, I've been in and out of the ER and testing because of chest pressure and pain. I was diagnosed with Marfan Syndrome many years ago, and I'm 22 years old now. My cardiologist says that my aortic dialation has reached 4.5cm (0.5 since 2013) and that aortic root repair is something that should be considered now. Because of a surgery to repair a severe pectus escavatum when I was younger, my heart sits lower and oddly positioned in my chest, making this type of surgery even more concerning. Considering my condition, and others that I've not mentioned, would it be reccommended that I consult with Cleveland Clinic and how would I go about doing so? I am afraid.

Well, not sure what happened, as this question is 5 years old. Dr. Lars Svensson performed an aortic valve replacement and aneurysm repairs on my husband- it was successful and well done. He is doing fine- although he has a pesky atrial fibrillation issue that he still deals with. This is beyond ANY control of any doctor, as it is a complex case. Dr. Svensson is simply the best in his field.
