I agree and disagree. I TOTALLY agree disliking Lars in some ways. But a video like this is definitely NOT the place to do it. And, as a drummer, I don't blame drummers for knocking him. But at the same time, if it weren't for Lars and James meeting, then there'd be no Metallica. This is DEFINITELY not the place to comment on drumming skill as far as I'm concerned. I do think people have a RIGHT to comment as they please. But they should prepare for any backlash that comes their way in a free society.

@King Greed Most people hate him because he sucks on drums since 2005 since St. Anger he was amazing until the first 4 Metallica Albums. Especially on the Song ONE.

No joke..he literally ran the west coast fan club of Motörhead when he was a teen (pre computer days of course)..Lars truly loved Lemmy..Lemmy has said just that👍

Usually listening to Lars speak for more than two sentences would be torture... But not this time. Great heartfelt eulogy. Lars knocked it out of the park. Best speech I've ever heard from Lars. You can tell the emotions are a hundred percent genuine. Nice to see. Im glad I stumbled upon this

Lars isn't a bad person, he has never actually done a truly bad thing. People love to hate on him for stupid shit, but I'd say he's probably one of the nicer people in the industry, but he's also human.

Whatever you feel about Lars, the one thing you cannot question about him is his devotion towards lemmy and motorhead. He's been a motorhead fan way before he was even in Metallica. And according to lemmy himself, Metallica had a huge part in making motorhead popular in the states and lars was the biggest motorhead fan in Metallica

+George Diesel Except lemmy often spoke of these things with lars. Lars is even on a motorhead album cover when he threw up over himself as a teenager after a motorhead show. Lars was also the president of the motorhead fan club for his area and there were only two members hahaha.

You are 100%. You are getting some hate though. Dave Grohl is such a caring guy that he is hard to compete with. Grohl would cancel a show to come to speak at somebodies funeral nobody has ever heard of if he knew them. Pretty amazing guy.
