I went to the Indy 500 for the first time to watch Larson. It was a really good race, but I was also watching the 600 on my phone during the 500. NASCAR will always be my favorite series.

the fact that driver change needed to be a person of the size of Larson and Kevin had a complete seat change to do the practice at all Star race. but for the Coke 600 needed Algier to use the same seat that Lason needed to jump in and finish in the car. I believe both Nascar benefited from the Double attempt past and future racer all draw attention to both

Why is everyone is having a heart attack about Larson's 626 out of 1100 miles on Sunday. This was a celebration for all parties Indycar and NASCAR and hopefully every series of different types of racing companies of racing venues like gt sports car racing dirt track racing and other shows of different types. At this point just ditch the damn waiver then if we are going to get this pissy about it. Everyone seems to have their panties in a wad over it. You want superstars that can transcend racing, but heaven help if they miss a race attempting the double. The wavier doesn't server a purpose anymore. A driver isn't going to skip a race short of some great reason. The teams and sponsors aren't going let Larson or Byron have a day at the lake for the fun of it just because they have a win in the bank.

The Indy 500 is the Daytona 500 of the indy car world. I want to see more drivers make the double but I think nascar needs to put a cap on how many drivers can do the double like 5 & I like to see indy car drivers come over to nascar for the 600.

Could just grant driver a waiver if it's not medical reason the driver waiver comes with a point reduction or possibly require the driver to win again for the waiver to be active.

The waiver thing, not matter what the rules say, is like everything else in NASCAR, it's up to their discretion. Sometimes that's good, sometimes not. They make it up as they go along. I don't know that Larson was going to get a top 5. Once everyone was good on fuel, the lap times dropped and things got serious. At the end of the race he wasn't able to make up positions like he had before. Indycar's biggest problem is the tracks they race on. It's a great car, North America has very few really good road courses suitable for that car to stretch it's legs. There are "Iconic" tracks, just not many good ones. They can't put together a deal to race on the few that do exist. They were most popular when they raced on 1.5 and 2 mile ovals. I understand why they don't anymore. They have a dedicated fan base, just not a big one. I had to laugh at the comment about where the money would go if they got more. Race teams will never "make a profit". They will spend every dime they get no matter how much it is.

They had rain tires but chose not to use them. How much do those rain tires cost for every race times 36 teams and not use them ? How much ...can anyone help me understand that. I saw the rain tires on pit road so I know that could have been possible. Plus . They have windshield wipers also 🤷
