I was confused when you said the scraper gets jammed, but immediately saw what the problem is. The apron cylinders aren't even close to correct and the apron can only open halfway. When the scraper was still cable operated, there was a bail arm that lifted on center of the apron. Normally when these are converted to hydraulic, the bail arm is retained and the pulleys are replaced with cylinder. It would be worth redoing the apron hydraulics Considering the bail arm seems to be gone, you would probably need to pattern parts off a properly converted pan at this point. Anybody nearby have one you can look at?

Thanks for another great video. It was interesting and enjoyable. Good job Dougo learning the scraper technology hooked to the infra red gadget. Probably a real learning curve there but knowing Dougo he will get it. I know nothing about those infra red eye systems but everyone says they are very accurate. Good show Dougo!!!!!! Glad your black beans are done and harvested and taken to town. Thanks Randy. Cleaning chemical tanks is not a fun job. Your battery powered vac looks pretty high powered. Neat machine. Let us know how it works please. About it I guess. You all take care and be safe. Looking forward to the next video. Thanks for everything Chet and the crew. The Iowa farm boy. Steve.

Winter time or when it's a little to wet I go and survey a bunch of ground. Then design my ditches or full field grading. That way when it's time to implement I can go directly to that and the hard part of finding the ditches is done. Yes you have to survey the whole field but it really doesn't take that long if you put it on your side x side.

I used one of those tanks in the basement of my cabin for a fresh water holding tank. It was a pain climbing into it to vacuum it out as well. Then I started using an eight foot piece of black 1 1/2” pvc plumbing pipe between the wand and the hose on the vacuum. That way you can clean it out without having to enter the tank. I just taped each end with electrical tape to hold it all together.
