It's been a while since we last stayed at the Gold Coast Hotel & Casino. We tried 2 of their most popular restaurants and took a trip to the Ethel M Chocolate Flagship Store and Factory!

Thank you for showing this particular resort. When my mom was still alive, this is the resort she would stay at every summer for a bowling tournament. I've personally never been to this resort, but have always wanted to go since she spent so much time there. It was her birthday earlier this week, so this video was extra special to me. Thank you for always sharing such fun adventures with us!! 💜

The cactuscyou were referencing is called Aloe Vera. Used for medicinal purpose. My mom used to cut it and apply the yukie substance on cuts, bug bites sunburn. Good for many other things!

😲😂👍 That's one way to start a video. Always buy Ethel M's candies at the airport when heading home. We did the tour back in the 1990's. Cactus garden has grown since then. Need to check it out again. We grew up with the nopal cactus. They sell alot of nopalitos in El Paso. Gold Coast looks like a really cool hotel. Need to go visit it next time in Vegas. Glad you went back to Ping Pang Pong and tried Noodle Exchange. Mouthwatering! Looks like Lisa had some luck on this trip. One of my fav slot machines is the old Stinkin' Rich. You can win alot on the bonus spins.

Aloha Bill and Lisa: Thank you for taking us along for your dinner meal at the Ping Pang Pong Chinese Restaurant. That soup is called Gee Kwat fu-jook tong, which is a pork-bone broth with dried bean curd sticks. They added some carrots, pork meat, plums and ginger slices. The soup is a staple in my house hold. Looks like you both had a great time at the Gold Coast and Ethel- M. Glad to see that Ethel-M is just the same as the last time I visited. Looking forward to your vlog and adventure! Aloe Vera! My grandparents also had it and used it on wounds and they also put it on sunburns.

The cactus you're thinking of is Aloe Vera. We grow it here in Hawaii too. Put it on burns, some people like to run it on their skin to help various skin ailments.

Have stayed many times at the Gold Coast and eaten many many times at Ping Pang Pong. Same with visiting Ethel M. Especially love it at Christmas time. Thanks for the memories!

Thank you for this video. I did not know that this resort was a Boyd property. My dad is Cantonese , we called that soup foo jook tong. Ours also had some chicken thighs in it. We always took out the chicken thighs before they fell apart and poured a hot oyster sauce and oil sauce over it. That food looked delicious and the restaurant is open until 3 am.

The cactus is in fact aloe. As a natural red head I had some bad sun burns when I was a kid. Aloe helped a lot.

I’m loving the intros and the looks and head shakes Lisa gives you. Always have me laughing. Love all your videos especially the Las Vegas ones. I go pretty often with my sister and you’ve both tried so many different food establishments that every trip we go now we have a new breakfast, lunch and dinner place we can try.

We were just talking about all the fun Gold Coast was in the 1990s & early 2000. It was the rodeo headquarters back in the day. Glad to know the Boyd’s loyalist have kept it going. The food looked fantastic. Thank you for braving the heat. We all luv Vegas 😻🍀🎉👍

Aloe, it's a gel when slit open. In Hawaii we keep it for burns, insect bites, etc.

Yesss I ❤dark chocolate. A dark chocolate mint bar is my favorite but can’t find it anymore. Ghirardelli’s in San Francisco used to sell them. No cream filled, just a dark chocolate mint bar. Thanks again for great video. And yes all of the food looks amazing. Rib eye 👍👍👍

Almost every time I am in Vegas, I go to The Gold Coast to eat n play bingo. I have dined at Ping Pang Pong numerous times. This past May, when leaving the casino, we noticed everyone who was eating at that noodle restaurant had a hot pot. We decided right there, that on our next trip we are going to try it. Thanks for the review!

Luv the cactus garden. We went last year, when they were decorating for Christmas. I like that cactus remedy bill mentioned on sun burns. It’s similar to aloe. Mexicans eat cactus with eggs for breakfast, Lol. It looks like bell pepper, when cleaned. The samples are the best.👍🤠. I bought the shot glass. Lol

Ping pang pong is my favorite Asian restaurant in Las Vegas. The only complaint with the restaurant is they sometimes add a 18% gratuity to your check. Getting a refill on your drink is almost non existent. This casino is usually busy and they have good food choices. We’ve used the bowling alley. I’m a Vegas local

Aloha Bill n Lisa...U guys so funny lol...Wow that was one big Bumbucha Strawberry I bet it was so sweet.Hey about the cactus first one was called Panini n you can eat those when its ripe n red..The 2nd cactus its not the cactus Bill was talking about,,but the one his talking about is called Awapuhi...the gel inside leaf or Aloe Vera it was good for your skin especially when you burned yourself you would rub it all over the burn area.Great video n Lisa big winnings!!!💰💰🌺🤙🤙

Love the food, looks authentic Chinese and home type cooking, what a wonderful dining experience, so happy to see a win or two, hot pot looks so inviting, you should try the herbs, it makes all the difference to the flavour, the chocolates were to dye for!, the 🌵 cactus thing was called aloevera, it's great for your skin and hair, and the pulp is so good for your health to eat or drink, also the red cactus fruit is also edible, it's called nopolea, one of the most delicious fruits you could ever try, trust me!, be careful of the prickles, it's great for arthritis too, have fun guys, glad you enjoyed yourselves, this was a good one, I enjoyed it*🍓😋🤗😁**

Yes the aloe Vera cactus my dad would wrap it around my ankle if I sprained my ankle playing basketball. And to my surprise it would heal in 3 days

That tofu skin soup is a classic Cantonese Bean Curd Stick & mushroom pork soup 腐竹冬菇湯 “Fu Jok don’t goo thong” .. they skimmed out on the mushroom but very homie. Lisa, are you Toisanese? Another great vegas video!!!😊 the chow mein looked tasty!!! We always stop at ethel m during xmas to see the lights and of course eat candy!!!! 😊 the chocolate covered strawberry looked good. When we stay at the aria sky suites, they had a platter of chocolate covered strawberries for our anniversary which were pretty good too. ❤ glad your back in vegas since those are my favorite to see!! Keep living your best life ❤

How about doing sone traveling on the train to Southern California beaches! So many with great restaurants! Here in Oceanside we just had a restaurant receive the Michelin Star! I hope when we go to Vegas that we will get a chance to bump into you. I’m glad you are considering the weather when you travel especially now with the high heat surges. I think we will do a few Vegas trips to do a food crawl…I would rather be eating that soup than my leftover BBQ pork fried rice…lol! Isn’t it great to have Vegas so close to our wonderful state? Always enjoy each Vegas trip…this was a fav episode of mine…thanks for sharing!

The Ethel M quality is amazing. I have it sent here (NY) except in the summer. When you buy chocolate there in the shop during the summer, they put ice packs in your bags.

I miss back in the day when Gold Coast had a buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Their breakfast buffet was SO cheap! Like $4.99 for adults and it had a wide variety of foods! This was like in the early to mid 2000's, so not that long ago! Such a bummer that all over Vegas they've gotten rid of these cheap but good buffets. Thanks for sharing another great video!

The prickly pear i called t las tunas " in Spanish and yes you do eat them. Cactus has been also known to help with diabetes
