Nice video. You really had afternoon tea though. High tea is actually served as a supper with more substantial food. Also it is too bad that the hotel has stainless steel instead of silverplate. The Waldorf Astoria on Park Avenue had its own silver pattern. Stainless steel belongs in a hospital, silver plate belongs in a luxury hotel.

We talk about that in our next Tea Video. The difference between High Tea and Afternoon tea. You're right.

You have your teas mixed up. You have shown afternoon tea. High tea was named because servant had it before serving the family. The servants' table was high. Family ate late and this held the staff's hunger off. It was served a heartier menu than afternoon tea.

This is afternoon tea, not high tea.

Thank you for taking us with you to the Waldorf Astoria for tea. Nice tableware but, for the price Bellagio had more elegance, and they charged less for the experience. Also, the view of Vegas outside lacks warmth and charm.

You only cut a scone horizontally! Never break it in pieces. Finger sandwiches are not to be cut or use a fork.Everything looked well done by the hotel. Was there clotted cream? Those views are wonderful. Well done video.

Las Vegas scenery is NOT my cup of tea! The only thing pleasant I liked in this presentation were the cups, sauces, tea pot, and serving plate. Give me a garden for tea!

This is a load of rubbish, I wish the Americans would not refer to 'afternoon' tea as 'high tea', they are two different things. Also you do not 'cut' scones , you break them in half horizontally. You eat the sandwiches first, then the scones and then the 'cakes'

Calm the hell down. Alot of us do know the difference, you are completely over the wall because you act like this is the same as where you are. Over here, tea isn't really a big thing, and Afternoon and High Tea aren't normal things here. Most people don't know the difference because it's something they've never had or been to. In fact, I live in the capital of California and closest city where I can go have Afternoon Tea is fucking 2 hours away in San Francisco, and even then there are only a tiny few places that do it, and it's expensive as all fuck because it's seen as "fine dining". I would LOVE to go to Afternoon Tea and have a place close by, but America isn't a tea drinking country, it's sadly a fucking Starbucks country, and yes I fucking hate it too as I love and prefer tea. It's the same in Canada too. You need to remember just because things may be "normal and every day" where you are from, doesn't mean it's that's way everywhere. Chill out.

Also it’s jam/ jelly before the cream and you NEVER eat a sandwich with a knife and fork, but as he’s American we should cut him a bit of slack. Afternoon/ High tea is not really a thing there. As the Waldorf Astoria couldn’t even spell sandwich correctly, it won’t be getting my patronage. I’ll stick with Petrossian Bar at the Bellagio.

@@TheRobertino2001 You're wrong on that one. Devonshire put cream first before the jam and they were the ones who created the "cream tea" with the clotted cream on scones and the original way is the correct way. Its Cornwall that puts their jams first which is weird, thats like putting cherry on a sunday and whipped cream on top. SMH, fruits always on top of cream!

@La Reine Yes you’re right, as it does say Devonshire cream on the menu. The argument about who was first has been raging since the 11th century. The Cornish way is the most common and popular way in Britain, even The Queen prefers it that way. The jam overpowers the cream, if it’s put on last. One of my work colleagues is from Plymouth and he’s very strange too 🤣

@@TheRobertino2001 I make my own clotted cream and I always put the cream first before the jam. Jam is slippery so when you put the thicker substance on top, its hard to spread it evenly without getting messy. Like an ice cream sundae or any desserts, petit fours, cake squares... you ALWAYS see the frosting, or cream under the fruit garnish. Thats what the jam is, the garnish because the cream is the main event between the two
