UPDATE: Testing this laser with my LPM showed an average power of 60mw to 90mw. Back when I made this video, I didn't really do a good enough job explaining safety. You MUST wear laser safety glasses with these lasers, and never point them at another person, animal, vehicle, etc.

Thank you, that's about what LPF has as well. At most, you'll get 200mW out of these 303's but that's rare. I'd be very careful about IR since the last I heard these don't have an IR filter. People using goggles that are made for 532 nm may get permanent eye damage from the huge amount of IR produced by these.

So I the laser just arrived and as I powered it up in a BRIGHT room I was amazed to see the beam perfectly visible. I haven't even charged it yet.

@@Atakula383 trust me I know, i was just exited at the time it arrived to see the laser. Nontraditional i did point it a matt black rubber to absorb most of the light. When u do use the laser now I do indeed use safety glasses.

I think the reason for the laser dimming over time is the laser diodes slowly burning out. That's very common, especially if you use it longer than 20 seconds at a time.

To get visible beam of the laser, even weak one - dilute about 30% by veigth (or volume) of glycerol in water. Then just drip drop by drop on hot stove to make mist. Water alone produce only weak fog, and the purpose of glycerol (or ethylene glycol) is to keep droplets "moist" for very long time. DO NOT overdue - else those droplets will attach to every surface in your room. Just try it in basement or somewhere else than living room.

Yes, there is a Federal regulation requiring a lock for pointers over 5mw. The 5mw plus ones without the lock are technically illegal to sell.

the key switch is there for accident prevention, it's not required but you can pick it with a paperclip (it only has one pin) so it's good for child safety.

I just got mine. Do you have any tips or ideas on what to do it I can’t get it to work? I’ve gotten it to turn on like twice for a second but I’m not sure where the issue is. The key is set to on. Edit: Seems like it’s something with the battery. When I shake it while pressing the button, it flashes on and off. Not sure if it’s the connection or what. Does a regular 18650 work or is it the special kind? Edit 2: When I shake the battery itself, the insides are moving around, so I think the battery it came with must just be a bust. But after watching again I didn't realize you can just take off one of the pieces and make it smaller for smaller batteries. I have some 16340s that I use on my other laser, so I threw one in and it worked perfectly! Thanks.

In case anyone else was having trouble getting the star filter off. On my one you have to push down on the end of the light before your turn it, else it just spins round and round and never comes off

Have you heard of the "pot" mod? Its when you disassemble it and adjust the potentiometer. The 303s can safely be turned up to 100mw!

I love my 303 lasers! I have two of them, and I'll get another very soon. The laser looks super cool in a dark room, and they are not as dangerous as more powerful lasers, but still powerful enough to do some damage. It's a serious laser, you need to be very careful with it.

@@alifarhat8808 I don't know how to remove the lens, but you should not do that, the 303s emit a lot of infrared light and the lens are there to protect our eyes, infrared is very bad even if you use the laser normally.

The military grade designated 303-m2 is really twice as powerful . You can tell if you have th m2 by the individual serial number etched on the inside of the housing. You can see it thru the top and if you cant see it you can turn the laser on to get more light.

I bought one but when I pointed it at a white wall I felt it was way too bright so I don't look at it on a white wall, but I did shine it on a black shelf and it was a comfortable brightness. If anyone wants to use this one a white wall I recommend do it on a white wall pretty far away, at least across your house if not more.

Mine works!! You gotta focus it.. Adjust the focus all the way so its big!! Point it at a match as its big adjust it so it gets smaller and smaller as its pointed at a match... Make sure its fully charged

Bought mine from my local flea market a few years ago. The lens got ruined since I didn't know any better and the button doesn't click anymore due to drops. And the charger made a dent on the bottom of the battery so it doesn't connect with the laser properly without using foil. Got a new one from the same seller at the flea market and going to take your advice

They sell a laser 303 on lasershop.com that is supposed to be 10,000Mw and selling now for $259.70 90% off down from $2597 and these lasers burn matches from up to 3 metres away and through CD cases 3 metres away and are very strong and powerful.The laser 303 only means the design of laser it doesn't have anything to do with how powerful it is.So your 303 laser could be 5Mw or you can buy one up to 10,000Mw like on lasershop.com it just depends how powerful it is made,but to get a good burning laser you have to at least spend $100 and up to $5-600 for ones that will burn white paper with ease.

It is a label for the diode, not the watt at which the driver operates. I‘ve played around with the modules alot and they could take around 3 watt

Yeah I just got it and was pointing it at something and got blind spots just by looking at whatever I was pointing at lol definitely getting the glasses.

Thats what happened to me I got this and thought oh 5 dollars.. Cant be that bright. Shined it at the grass in front of me, instant migrane.

Actually it's because I thought this was a 5mw laser like stated on ebay, and I have 5mw lasers and this is probably closer to 200-250mw. Alot brighter than expected.

my first laser a 301. I've had it about a year and just recently noticed when i turn the top focus all the way out half the light isn't in the circle. i realized there is a small lens glued to the diode. i touched it and it fell off lol now the beam is about the size of a quarter

They are available at AliExpress, and they have purchase protection. You get your money back if they fuck with you.But with 184 orders I find it a great place to shop as long as you keep looking for cheaper prices because they are there. I paid 6.25 for the laser 303 and 2.25 for 2x9.8 amp hour 18650 batteries(9800mah), chargers vary from 1.49 and up. ANd give the stores a 5 star rating, they will start to give you offers and deals for it.

Can i ask your opinion on something? do you believe this would serve as a reliable self defence tool? would the star pattern attachment render an attacker temporarily dazzled at a distance of 5-10 feet? in the day as well as night? thanks
