Clever way to get a bevel. Using a dremmel you could do the same thing faster but it's still a great alternative especially if you know how to use design software. It's also given me ideas for different effects

In this case not one feature script was used. But more and more I am seeing people wanting Onshape tutorials and I will start making some.

The new 1.2 version of Inkscape allows you to resize relative to the selected corner! Select an object and click on one of the 8 arrow handles. The dimensions at the top of the screen will then be applied relative to the selected corner. You can see it in action in the official Release notes, under Selector Tool section

yay thank you so much, im getting a laser engraver primarily for foam and had no clue which module to buy. Thanks for saying you have the long focus module^_^ what do you think about getting the 10 amp laser module?

If you are doing foam a 5w is plenty so long as it’s grey or dark foams. For white and harder materials like wood look at a 10w. I have a machine with a 5w just for Eva cutting

Cool video! I think that's a game changer for laser cutting in cosplay. 1. In Foamsmith 3, Bill Doran mentions that laser cutters leave a slight round over on the top of the cut edge, creating less-than-perfect seams. Did you have different results? (I suspect that an air assist might prevent it) 2. I consider developing a software tool for laser cutting pieces with bevel cuts and textures (and maybe other cool features like efficient grouping and splitting of pieces to multiple prints). Do you think you/other people will pay for it?

1. Yes I have had different results. I find the UV laser cuts a much sharper edge than a CO2 that bill has. 2. You can totally develop a tool but I find that lightburn has all I need. I would like to try anything you build though!

@@DreadMakerRoberts Thanks for the feedback! Probably the proposed tool will output to Lightburn, but it will support creating bevels in one click (select line -> "bevel" -> maybe set angle), and maybe texturing pieces (which is a cool thing I didn't see people do with lasers yet).

the stuff you are cutting puts out really bad fumes when it is burned and will cause COPD ASAP please use a vent fan to the ouside.

Instructions too hard for my feeble brain to understand..... resorted to a slightly tilted hobby knife.......results crappy, but achievable.

Scrappy is totally acceptable... The goal is not how you cut things. Its what the end product is.

@@DreadMakerRoberts I made Lostwax's EVA foam proton pack and added LEDs, and people were taking pictures with me at Halloween. It was an addicting feeling!
