I've learned some from working with that material. For starters, if you have air assist - turn it off. My 10w engraves this pretty well at 2600 and 35%. After it's cut, wait about ten minutes and wipe it gently with alcohol. All the ABS ash will come out of your cuts and the dye will come out as well. If you don't, you'll probably still be fine unless you try to clear coat it to protect the somewhat delicate top surface. If you apply clear without first washing it with alcohol, purple dye will seperate from the black layer and run into your engraving. They engineered this stuff to engrave really well on diodes without air assist. If you turn on air assist, the ablated material will get pushed into your white layer and darken it somewhat. I know you didn't have air assist in the vid, just wanted to warn anyone watching. Also - it's fkn ABS! Releases toxic fumes and WILL rust ferrous hardware near your engraver. Ventilation is key!

crazy focus distance u got there. Mine is a 22w and it pretty much focus's about 3/4 from the material surface. nice big workshop

I’ve never worked with plastic. Can you cut the design out with the laser and get a clean edge?
