This is outdated, lasers now use semiconductors for simple laser pointer or gas for high power lasers

@sandhanjyotigogoi3413 In a ruby laser, a type of mirror called a "totally reflecting mirror" is used. This mirror is designed to reflect all the light that enters it, allowing the light to bounce back and forth within the laser cavity. One of the mirrors is made to be partially transparent to allow a small amount of laser light to pass through and create the laser beam. This setup helps to amplify and focus the laser light, resulting in a powerful and coherent laser beam. It's pretty cool how mirrors play a crucial role in the functioning of a laser! 😄
