Behold, the promised second build.
I've been playing this laser pistol build for the last few streams and I'm becoming addicted.
It's fast, it has scary DPS, and your enemies can't run away without catching plasma missiles to the backside.
Generally, this is NOT a META build. That's not my goal, I literally have a folder full of builds to pull out when someone's using double zimms or coral missile boats but I have more fun making and talking about these friendly-yet-strong types of loadouts.
The PVP landscape has grown with more people finishing the game and getting sick of double zimmerman loadouts, if you haven't tried PVP yet load this up and have fun!

I've been running almost an identical build myself. I started off using Laser Rifles but found that the Pistols just feel better in almost every situation.

Facts, though i do really like the middle-size laser rifle. the charged attack hits so often it's almost unreasonable, check it out sometime!

@DerkDonk OH yeah, the medium and large laser rifles absolutely shred, but for the lighter weight ones, I feel like the handguns just outclass them.

Don't be afraid to run them without shoulder weapons. The power/impact the rapid fire VP-66LH can generate with the VE-20B generator is not to be underestimated. You can just skate around at super speed with the SPD booster and whittle down the health of anything that has to get closer than 100M to hit/stun you.

I’ve got a build: Dual las-pistols + laser orbits on lightweight frame with the heavy coral gen. Just spamming lasers and dodging constantly.

Almost this same build got me through all bosses after Smartcleaner. Dual Wielding Lightweight AC with Plasma Verts on each shoulder. Rain plasma, Shoot lasers.

I actually made a similar build today cause I wanted to make own and not just copy a build. but it makes me glad that some of the stuff stated in this video I actually got to. Also thanks for the quick boost tip. I'm on my third playthrough and I had no idea lol.

I use pretty much exactly that build, I was even using the Melander C3 arms for a while before I tested them. When firing both laser pistols as fast as possible they do not have enough recoil control to keep the cone of fire from blooming. I know you said you tested it as well in your video, but I don't know what you are talking about. I even went and retested it again just now and confirmed that the Melander C3s are unable to handle the recoil from dual laser pistols firing at full speed. I upgraded to the Mind Alpha arms as these are actually able to handle the recoil. Though they are heavier so I had to switch to the Melander C3 legs to support them. Now my laser pistol build can fully unload both pistols on target while maintaining pinpoint accuracy the entire time.

that generator is a 1.25 times damage multiplier and 1.5 times charge speed multiplier edit: your build looks fun!

I’ve stumbled on a really similar build, using the Firenza frame and nachtrider arms. It’s mostly a chapter 2 build, weighs in at about 55000 units total, 380 speed, with the alula boosters and talbot fcs. It’s not pure dps but it really does pile on the hurt and boosts like a slow NEXT. Built out a couple of variants with different specs but I’m always coming back to this build. It’s just far, far too good and has annihilated everything so far, barring lightweight acs where I’m using twin machine guns., a split missile and the sentry turret

@@DerkDonk I’ll have to take a look! Still need to get a fair few parts as I’ve only just beaten ice worm, still waiting on some of that moonlight action to really get me having fun though 🤣. With the laser pistol build it feels like my fingers are getting biceps

I basically made this except I use the six shot plasma missiles and a blade with explosive armor. And I’m more medium armor than light.

352 boost, 381 quick boost, & 0.35 boost reload 😘👌🏾 doesn't get much more responsive than this in a skirmisher class AC. Well engineered Raven.

Firearm specialization doesn’t matter for energy weapons btw

Yes it does. Firearm specialization (on your arms) matters for every projectile weapon that uses target tracking, which is the red circle in the middle of your screen. Having higher Firearm Specialization means the red targeting circle locks onto your target more quickly after they move, meaning your shots are more accurate against mobile enemies. It affects almost every weapon other than missiles and melee.

@@htranttrant5376 heavyweight biped, burezel booster, san-tai gen, two haldeman shotguns, 10-pack missile, gun-orbit. use assault-boost and hard lock to orbit enemies while you hit hard with shotties and punish staggers with a kick->shotgun combo. been working for me lately, i'll be making it my final build guide before i dive into lore.
