Awesome work! I took over the graphic design job, at the company I work for, about two years ago. The guy who had been doing it for almost 20 years quit, and they asked me to go from screenprinting to graphic designer. I knew nothing (literally NOTHING) about it, but neither did anyone else, they just figured I'd be the quickest one to pick it up. I'm using Corel16-something, and I find new things to do in that program if not every day then at least every week. I challenge myself by taking on prints not done in our shop before, and I educate myself on Corel through KZfaq and Google. I have always been VERY protective of my free time, and I would be hard pressed to break a day off, unless handsomely paid to do so. But since starting this I have actually gone in on a saturday or sunday, just to sit there in the deserted office and fiddle about in Corel, trying to figure stuff out. In regards to this video though; this is some next level sh*t right here! 😊

Seems to me that this artist has an established style and an eye for colour and lighting that relegates the reference photo to being more of a guide. Amazing work. And before switching to AI, I used Corel for YEARS. It was a great workhorse!

Great work! Congrats! It was nice for me to revisit my good memories from old days, when I was using Corel Draw a lot. I've been even drawing a similar things (manual tracing a shape from photos), so it was fun watching this video and even cycling between Corel Draw's tools in my mind, dragging nodes of Bezier's curves in my imagination. Unfortunately, Corel lead me to the point I was fed up of this app, its quirks and some really stupid choices being made by the developer and finally decided to switch entirely to Affinity Draw. But my sentiment to Corel is still in my heart anyway.

For this work you need to be able to draw. It is much easier to use vectorization and then edit the result.
