I usually take a water bottle with me to stores so if I see and subsequently buy a Bargain plant, I can give it water right away. 😅

These big box stores are unnecessarily wasteful. If they sold new healthy plants at fair prices they wouldn’t have to sit on shelves crying out for someone who cared to come water them

I decided at the age of 72 to take up gardening, go figure! So running into your channel was a God send. I also live at the Lowe’s bargain clearance rack, I figure if I wind up killing the plant due to my ineptness I won’t feel so bad! I was looking for some Bird of Paradise at Home Depot today, no bueno. But I did see several pots of Plumeria, like each one with two rooted cuttings, no inflow, so no way of knowing the colors. Nearby was a trash can with a 10” broken plumeria trunk, leaves wilting in the sun, and sap had already stopped bleeding. Just laying I. The trash, broke my heart. So I asked the clerk if I could have it out of the trash and take it home. She had to call the supervisor. NOPE…she told me I couldn’t have it, had to be thrown away and would have to buy a full plant. Is that dumb or what?!

That was great. Cant wait to see the update. Soon as I enter my local nursery I beeline it for the discounted plants.

I love rescuing plants! Sometimes they don't make it, but most of the time I have happy plants!!
