Today was the last day of the Water Festival event in Pokémon GO, and while it doesn't mean Shiny Magikarp is going away, it does mean they'll be spawning a lot less frequently, making hunting a bit more difficult.

Also Nick, you have stepped up your game. This is some serious quality content you put out there with the unique shots, mix of personal and pokemon go related material, humor, etc. You developed your own trademark style and are sticking to it and that's just beautiful to watch for your viewers. As long as your not flying them through Construction or Residential areas he can do whatever he wants.....I didnt see anyones back yard.....The only thing he did thats uncol was pilot it while skating and he crashed his drone so he probably wont do that again. People need to chill out about drones like OMG someones watching me!!!! HATE TO BREAK IT TO PEOPLE BUT THE STREET CAMS AND BILLION PLUS CELLPHONES AND BUSINESS SECURITY CAMS GOOGLE AND POLICE CARS. I would be surpirsed if you were able to walk a mile without some entity knowing your there!

This was my favorite episode so far by far. The quality of everything is great. The shots were amazing. Loved you riding the skateboard while flying the drone. I watch mystic 7 videos too but low key he just yells at the camera. Your actual Pokémon hunts like this need to happen way more often!

Andreas Quinones same. I get 0 totodile where I live. don't even have one registered in my pokedex either. and they didn't spawn at all during the event.

When the water festival started One of my first spawns was a Totodile, like 14 cp. Only had 1 other besides that, and not that the event is over I still only have those 2. No other ones spawned

I was thinking the same thing, watching this. Probably one of the most visually amazing videos of his, to date. And that's from a population of really great stuff. The editing, the drone shots, the skateboard action sequences ... it was all so on point. He should take a day or two off now and then, if this is the result.

xaq343 really depends on ones spawn frequency. It's a water biome and croconaw is probably common around there. I live in a water/grass biome and would probably break the chain for a swinub. So there you go.

My question is do eggs break your chain? I know your not technically catching it but it does technically break the chain in your Pokémon Storage

Thing is, I don't think there's actual 'chaining' in the game yet. I've got a shiny karp that wasn't due to just chaining Magikarp alone. I was grabbing everything I saw while I hunted for them and eventually came to the conclusion I might not get one, then I found one out of sheer luck.

They've talked about it many times. They use cell data. Insanely urban areas like California will have a denser cell data area (not sure what the actual term is) than many other places. It's not really "rigged" for those areas. But "rigged" is what butthurt people call it.

Don't think chaining works in Pokémon go as well. I caught my shiny magikarp without chaining

In the main series games, you can catch a shiny no problem without chaining. Changing just shortens the process. Most of the time.
