I read that George Micheal saw a young woman sobbing at a table in a restaurant, asked the staff what was wrong, and was told the young woman was trying to grapple with a huge student debt. George apparently wrote a check, right there, for thousands of pounds and covered her debt. He told the servers to wait until he left to take the check over to the girl. Now that's a generous, kind hearted man. A hell of a man.

People forget how talented and famous George Michael was. He was a total force of nature and icon. Calling someone an icon is a word I don't use often. I have no doubt that George would be selling out arena's if he was still around. RIP. Your music and legacy will always live on.

I don’t care about his sexuality, he was a talented soul and his music lives on. I have a limited number of true artist that I listen to on repeat that I believe can truly sing and George Michael is definitely in my list of favorites. He’s a legend in my eyes. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

What a generous and wonderful soul! I love how philanthropic he was! As a nurse, I love how he thanked the nurses who cared for his mother. We lost a shining star in 2016.

I am a nurse too and was so touched by his efforts to honor the efforts nurses take to care for others. Very beautiful gesture that continued even after the concert. He was appreciative for the long haul. A high quality human being.

He always showed his appreciation, even at the AKH in Vienna. I work there these days and heard stories about him giving one special concert to the staff there, inviting the people who cared for him for special dinner the next day and saw photos as well. ❣

In the 80's this man's music saved me from all the physical/ mental abuse that many teens were facing at home. I could have ended up in jail or dead but instead his music inspired me to use the negative feeling I had into positive outlets like sports, friends, dancing, singing and girlfriends now i'm in my mid 40's with 4 wounderful kids and a beautiful wife . Thank You George and R.I.P 🙏🙏🙏🙏

I think it’s horrible that people did not give him the accolades he deserved while he was alive. They wait until he’s gone to say nice things about him. He was lovely and not like all these artists you see today. He simply loved to sing and he liked making people happy with his music. It’s terribly sad that now that he’s gone people are speaking kindly of him. It’s just a terrible shame. He was a great artist who performed wonderful music with a beautiful voice. God Bless You George. You were truly one of a kind and you are missed. 😢♥️

“I didn’t know much about him. I knew what I read”. ...EXACTLY. Regardless of your personal opinion of this man, he gave back. He used his gifts as an entertainer and songwriter to help others in generous ways. I'm a huge fan. I actually bought FAITH as my very first CD when I got my new stereo for my bday. Absolutely broke my heart at his loss & then even sadder to lose his sister 3 Christmases later. My prayers to his family, friends & fans 🙏❤

Don Dressel sadly yes and the man that he fell in love with in South America got diagnosed with aids about six months after they fell in love. George loved the man and stayed with him for I think two more years until that guy died and thank God George never caught HIV. He said that he was scared for his wife during Thanksgiving break and even worried for his partner. After his partner died, his mother died. His mom had the most malignant case of skin cancer and it just went into remission and two weeks later she automatically died. Talk about a let down tragedy! He was terribly close with his mother and he just couldn’t right because he was in so much grief. Two years went by and he met this man named Kenny and they were involved for a long time. He was a really handsome guy!! I don’t know whatever happened to them but I guess they broke up before the event in Beverly Hills. People shouldn’t make a fuss over what gender or sexual preference someone is. That Is rubbish

I remember the first time hearing his songs when I was a kid in the 80s and I loved him then all the way up to today! George Michael was definitely a great person to be as giving as he was. George Michael is the most underrated musician and artist in our time. The media gave no credit to his music, instead they obsessed with his private life all the way to his grave. As confusion as his emotions could be, in my opinion he has tried to find his way and stayed as trueful and honest as he could be......and the world condemned and shamed him when he was vulnerable! GM's generosity spread beyond other's lives, not only financially but emotionally. His music is full of depth, kindness accompanied with his flawless voice. Why can't we get media to focus on the goodness and inspiring attributes of a person? RIP George, Your music and bravery in this journey will be forever remembered

George was the best musician and vocalist of all time in my opinion. I can remember at the age of 14 for the first time hearing "praying for time" the words in that song, wow! From then on his songs have always held so much meaning for me throughout my teens and into adulthood. Cowboys and Angles is the best song ever written, the piano and saxophone are mesmerising gives me butterflies every time. He was kind and humble helping those in need discreetly. Rest in peace George ❤ your music lives on. There will never be another musician like you. You will always be remembered ❤

The things George gave to my 20 something heart are immeasuable and remain priceless. He was so talented and one of the most beautiful men of the world. That gorgeous face made it difficult for me not to fall in love with him. I love Georgeous and always will 😘🎶🎵
