I get where Mike is coming from, but my issues with after death effects are one, they usually disproportionately punish melee characters which makes an already high-risk playstyle even more risky and difficult, two, they can be difficult to react to or even see in fights with high mob density, making dying to them incredibly frustrating, and three, they compound the need for a reliable movement skill on any given build. I know that third point will probably be remedied with the addition of the dodge roll, but even then, if you're in the arena, and two waves of exploding enemies come at you at the wrong time, you could use your dodge roll to avoid the first wave, and then get stuck in the second wave without it.

Forge Guard needs much more work than a passive that which will just be a no-brainer to take.

Personally as i will always say i didn't expect a new skill to come into the game. i feel like the game has enough skills atm and they have a lot of work of updating masteries and just even underperforming skills and stuff along with all the major updates they plan on doing that im perfectly fine with them holding off on new skills for a little bit so i just never expected one this patch. i know it is a bit sad for them to not be able to do this for the first time ever it sounds like but still a lot of other stuff thats on there table and especially with the paragon thing coming in supposedly 3 seasons will do that

Honestly I haven't played much since launch as nothing was new and I have been playing this game for a few years already. This video/dev chat where it said no new skills and no new dungeons just means I will continue to not play this for another cycle ... kinda sad about it. Just feels like a deflated balloon to me.

Dungeons need love. Basically no one does anything but temporal and they only do it to get to the end to slam a single item.

@@kylechristianson7667 maybe even just a respawn point for the boss that you can use like once or twice. It’s so annoying that if you die to the boss you have to run thru the dungeon again. Especially since the rest of the dungeon is nothing. Just running for no reason

i love this game, but i feel like they are progressing too slowly with updates, i know they are a small team and all but the game feels like very empty after 100-200 hours

Considering there haven't even been any bug fixes for over a month? I don't think they're even trying at this point.. I quit my attempt at charged Puncture archer since Puncture and marksman is bugged to high hell but even though I reported the bugs on forums, ingame AND on discord, nothing happened the entirety of cycle 1 so far to ANY of those bugs. And since they didn't want to touch balance either, I lost the will to play broken shite that doesn't quite scale well enough into monos. Maybe I'll check it out in cycle 2 if there are enough good changes, but rn for me, the game is dead. Still, it was good while it lasted, I mean I spent 300+ hours in it leveling like 12 specs so it wasn't a waste of money at least.

Sorry to hear that all plans about to MTX. They should focus to make game 100% complete and start adding real 3d equipment objects to all of them, bcs visual progression just sucks in this game.....Meh, disappointed for now.

I don't get where you're coming from here when he said that skill mtx are such a long way away (they don't even have a framework for it to be possible). Seems to me like they are doing exactly what you want (working on the base game and not mtx)

Sorry, true I forgot about it. But I dont like the fact that they already do mtx for eq when you look like a poor guy who dress at the bin. Instead of giving us nice models of equipment....
