Definitely my favorite skill for shaman so far outside of the tempest strike and storm totem.

DUDE! I had said I was interested in doing the lowlife storm crow build and now THIS SKILL!!!! This is way better than swipe for that build since aspect of the crow grants melee and spell lightning damage. So you dual wield and just scale lightning damage and attack speed and your flat damage comes from aspect stacks!

Gathering storm to proc the storm bolt strike passively, plus storm totem, plus tempest strike as tempest totem is sounding like a fun build imo might leap and storm as the last 2 skill, or roar.

Cool, primalist specs are my 2nd fav to acolyte ones and with the changes I'ma have lots of new things to try. Not to mention they will prolly also release new build enabling items xd, hopefully.

Shaman is one of my favorite classes in any fantasy (even tabletop rpgs with caster druids) I wonder if I should start with shaman and make the reign of winter explosive trap as my second character Autobomber shaman could be really good Maelstrom has lighting at 6 stacks (at base) Tornado has lighting every 2 seconds (at base, you would probably take the frequency) automatically proc both of them and you could even convert the lighting to cold so that you can scale it and avalanche easier you don't even lose shock because the shaman passives give shock chance

Gathering Storm has me wanting to start Shaman now lol. It's gonna be so insane with Tornado. I'm really not sure what to start now.

im a lil confused on gathering storm becoming a ranged attack, does that mean you cant trigger stacks anymore? its just stormbolt without gathering storm wich triggers stacks right?

Are Storm Bolts triggered by wolf companions affected by Gathering Storm's Storm Bolt damage conversion (lightning to physical or cold)? I'm trying to figure this out but the skill tool tips don't seem to address this issue. Anyone figure this out yet?

all storm bolts should scale with gathering storm bolts so yes. it should convert.

man I haven't seen the skill tree for it but I kinda hope there is a node that converts it from a melee to a spell type ability. with thorns gone I don't think there will be a spammable spell ability for casters. Does Lagonian Diplomacy change its type to spell from melee?

As a lightning peimalist oficianado, i approve and can't wait for both the new skill and the tempest strike rework. The real question is, does tornado lightnings also become lightning bolts with this change. I can see my favorite tornado build pop seriously off it they though about that. Those lightnings were the same skill that shaman had in their passive tree before. With all this, it almost feels like they are releasing a 3rd new mastery

Tornado will work with this skill because it's completely replacing the old lightning. That build is gonna be crazy good.
