Originally, I've booked a flight in Qatar Airways Business Class from Milan to Cape Town, with a little stopover in Doha. Both flights were operated by an Airbus A350 and both in their Q-Suite.
After a great time inside Qatar's famous Al-Mourjan Business Lounge, I received an E-Mail, that they've changed our aircraft. It's still an Airbus A350-900, but without Q-Suites!
It was not a big problem for me, because it was just one of four flights with Qatar Airways, and now I have the chance to show you a different Business Class.

I have booked a Q-suite flight in February already just to receive an email today to notify us that they have changed the aircraft, so no more Q-suite. Was really looking forward to this.

That‘s so bad 😢 but normally they offer to rebook you to another date or another flight which offers Q-Suites, maybe you can try to contact their customer service 👍

Fantastic video, Marc. Sadly, changes in product happen a lot with Qatar Airways. On several Johannesburg to Berlin return flights, the airplanes were changed at the last minute, resulting in Business Class flights being downgraded from Q-Suite to either Herringbone or, worse, the very old configuration. Never ever have the flights actually been "upgraded" to Q-Suite. It's quite frustrating. Thanks for sharing your experience.

Thanks a lot for your comment 😊 Yeah the aircraft changes are a huge problem.. on my flight back a had the old 2-2-2 configuration. I really hope that they find a solution for this problem. If Qatar Airways want to offer the best Business Class, these aircraft changes shouldn’t happen 😩

Man I have been hearing alot lately this year how people get "Qatared" for getting downgraded which worries me cause I really wanted to experience their Qsuite but now I'm thinking about Emirates Business/First class on their A380 since they are less likely to change. Anyway it sucks that they switched BC for you, I enjoyed the video tho!

My sister and her husband got Qatared 3 out of 4 times seperately even getting a380 that turned into a 777 old BC, she was very upset, 2 of her fellow BC passengers who were also couples ranted silently and missed a chance to have a double middle seat bed, shes so done with Qatar. Emirates is much better

I really hope that Qatar find a solution for this problem, it’s so frustrating if you want to enjoy their Q-Suite and you get an old seat 😩 There are some routes nearly without aircraft changes and there are routes with many aircraft changes, especially Boeing 777 or Airbus A350-900 routes. I hope that you can enjoy a flight in their Q-Suite and I‘m glad that you like the video 😊✈️

Yeah it’s quite a known problem from Qatar, I was worried too I flew two weeks ago. Luckily got the qsuite.

I really hope, that Qatar Airways find a solution for this problem 👍 Their business class is great but if you book a flight in their Q-Suite, which is not cheap, you shouldn't have to worry that they change the aircraft 🙁

@@thevacationworld Looking at the history of QR1371 on Flightradar24, it's almost always operated by an A359. There's an A351 scheduled for one flight next week, but history suggests that it will be swapped...

@@peterhastings703 Yeah, the Airbus A350-900 is not a big problem because some of them are also equipped with Q-Suites 👍 I was originally booked on an A350-900 with Q-Suites but they‘ve changed it to an A350-900 without Q-Suites.. so if they change it, hopefully to an A350-900 with Q-Suites 👍✈️

I hope to fly Qatar one of these days. But I do agree Marc, if I had booked the Q-Suite and the aircraft was changed last minute, I would be upset. I know sometimes it cannot be helped but are you covered/reimbursed for that change in any way? Or is it an understood risk when booking? Love the time lapse in the airport as well. I would've never known it was so late at night.

Qatar Airways offers a great product and I can really recommend a flight in their business class but you book just the business class flight and not a special seat. If they change the aircraft in advance, they rebook you to another date with Q-Suites for free, but that’s not possible just an hour prior departure. I will try to get some Avios for the inconvenience but I’m not sure now if it works 😁😁 Thank you so much, I‘m glad that you like it :) ✈️

I follow 3 or 4 channels and they are getting a bit samey, just come across yours and I like the presentation so I subbed, Oh, I'll be traveling Qatar to India next week and only got Q suites on some of the legs but the one you got isn't too bad by the looks of it,

Hi Marc, you didn't check out their new Al Mourjan Lounge Garden? I'll be taking QR from Singapore to London and return, I really hope there won't be any change in aircraft as I'm looking forward to try out their Q-Suite! It'll be my first time. I always fly with SQ to London. Cheers!

Unfortunately, you just pay for the business class and I flew business class so no money back 😁 If they change the plane in advance, they rebook you to another date with Q-Suites but that’s not possible an hour prior departure.. I try now to get a few Avios for the inconvenience 😜
