I witnessed Kilmarnock lift the Scottish Championship trophy as they make their way back to the Premiership at the first time of asking.
The atmosphere inside Rugby Park was incredible for this huge title decider between 1st and 2nd.
Credit to Arbroath Football Club, they've done incredibly well to get to where they are but they fell short in the end. Can they make it to the Scottish Premiership through the play-offs though?

Kilmarnock and Arbroath are one of my favourite respective footballing clubs but congratulations to Kilmarnock for winning the Scottish Championship to be promoted to the Scottish Premiership next season and commisionations to Arbroath!!!I hope to see Arbroath to be challenging again for the league title to be promoted for the next two seasons,good friends!!!🙏

Yer not far wrong. I gave up on skysports and MoTD years ago. Lower league football far me appealing. Far rather stand at a Highland League game with a pie n bovril than trudge in with the glory hunting tourists to Old Trafford or the like.

Actually, the BBC in Scotland do show Scottish Championship games. One is selected for live coverage every Friday. Including this game.

Hi,I think people need to be realistic about killie's attendances.We have a population of 46,000 people. More than half of football supporters in the town support the old firm.Nobody gives St Mirren stick when Paisley is a far bigger town for their fanbase.We have a bigger support than Livingston,Ross County,St Mirren,St Johnstone and even Motherwell at times.We are not a city club,I don't get why we get slagged for our poor crowds all the time.We have a great traveling support which will be seen and heard next season.

Not just St mirren,St Johnstone have a pathetic support for the size of Perth,again killie get more stick.When you have 6 city clubs and Kilmarnock being close to parkhead and Ibrox it's very difficult to get bigger crowds.We just get called a diddy club,I think most of the hatred is because of the pitch.Just because St Mirren have a smaller stadium than Killie doesn't make them a smaller club.Dundee,Dundee Utd have smaller stadiums but are bigger than killie but hardly sell them out every week in the spl.

Really emotional night for us Killie fans and I really hope Arbroath go up via the play offs. I'm 56 and I've seen us win the Scottish Cup and League Cup but never a League title.I was two rows in front of you and I should have said hello,next time lol. Really enjoy the videos.

I really enjoy the channel and as a Rangers fan we get plenty of publicity the same as the Celtic fans too but what is great about your channel is you cover every part of Scottish football from the top to the bottom. I really miss going to the games as I now work abroad so check out your channel because you never know whats next up. Thank you.

A cracking finale to the Championship season. Arbroath have been a breath of fresh air but congratulations to Killie for bouncing straight back up to the Prem. It's not an easy league to get out of. Hopefully most of those packed out Rugby Park tonight will sign up for season tickets. It's an excellent stadium and deserves decent crowds. Great coverage as usual Sam. If Sky were really committed to Scottish football they'd show your content as part of their coverage.

What a season it's been for the plucky part timers of Arbroath. Who would have thought they would be scaling such heights and the adventure is not over yet. Still the play off route to go. Whatever happens, they've sure done themselves proud and it's stories like their's that keep me in love with the game. Well done Killie. Back at the first bounce and a great turn out for this fixture. Should be pulling in crowds like this week in week out in the SPL.

Great video Sam. Fantastic to see the access you were given. Amazing atmosphere last night. Glad we're back up , It was a different kind of fun in the Championship , But one season was more than enough. Kinda glad the younger generation of Killie fans got to experience a season like than. I have seen us win a few promotions and it was hard to explain to young Killie fans....To Arbroath good luck in the play offs....Its a great away day so perhaps we might see you next season too.

Once again the prizes go to the clubs who've had more money. Arbroath really deserve to go up too after season they've had as only part-time club in the league. There shouldve been 2 automatic promotion places to allow them to go up too rather than the sick farce they may miss out through the play-offs

As an Arbroath supporter of 60 years, it was a good, exciting night but we just ran out of steam at the end of a memorable season (highest goals and equal best defence) and consequently failed at the playoffs. Fabulous drama and atmosphere on the night. Yet winning this and automatic promotion would have led to a depressing one year in the SPL. Would have loved the fairytale to have a happy ending tho but congrats to Killie. As it happens, managing to avoid relegation from the Championship the following season was probably as great an achievement

On the subject of Arbroath: I notice that the club 's home ground is pretty rudimentary. If Arbroath were promoted would the club have to play at a different stadium (I am assuming the SPFL would have rules regarding stadium standards especially for the premier league)?

I’m a Killie fan and I agree they should instead of having 42 clubs over 4 leagues increase the number to 48 and have 3 leagues of 16 teams There’s some clubs coming up through the leagues just now that will eventually be in the 2nd division. EK, Auchinleck, Darvel and the league needs expanded. 16 teams would leave you with a 30 game season but they could do a split like now and have 37 games.

The Arbroath goal was a strange one, I don't think the player hit it very well and my immediate reaction was that he had missed, then the ball seemed to bobble along the surface in slow motion and kind of curved into the net.

To be honest around 15 minutes from the end I was thinking this was the usual Derek Mcinnes bottling yet another big match. I recognised Ash Taylor when watching the game on telly last night. I had no idea he was at Kilmarnock nowadays, then up he pops and scores the equaliser. Dean Campbell didn't play last night but at least he got a medal, and an Aberdeen player won something this season. Will Footy Adventures ever manage up to Pittodrie for a match?
