Inspired by the Hide and Seek tag videos, I have edited this competition of 8 players! I send one image, and over time zoom it out more and more until only one person is left to find me, in which case they are eliminated! Let me know if this video was fun to watch and I could do a sequel to follow up!

Long story short, it was a planned event set on a specific time and date to create a private lobby with the mod EmilyEmmi created using SM64 ex-coop.

The use of the in-game chat is disabled throughout the entire session. I believe everyone was unable to speak to one another as well through discord even during round intermissions.

As a SM64 ROM hacker, this would be really fun to participate in! There were a few ones I was stumped on, but once I can see a 2nd texture or a 2nd triangle I can immediately know where I should go.

Aside from what Wookis said, Sunk is a (former?) TASer of the game and Joey also speedruns SM64 as well. Everyone else is either more into the modding side or take things more causally from what I can recall. Either way, for certain over half of the people participating have a deeper understanding of the game than the average player does. (Trust me, it was still very difficult don't get me wrong!) But to clear any doubts that you might have, some people participating in this event WERE speedrunners. (Again, among other areas too.)

I liked this video idea and would like to see more, but I think it could be interesting if you'd just time the players how long it took to find out for each round and add it up in the end, rather than doing eliminations. Maybe next time!

This video was as fun to watch as it must've been to play in. I was really rooting for Bombs, that guy's color palette of choice matches what I'd usually wear.. even the pale skin and the white shoes are identical!
